What does that matter. Harrell struggles against length on both ends. |
Harrell struggled against AD on the perimeter. _________________ Formerly OC Lakerfan |

the only question here is how injured is pg? he's a very very good players that most people underrate. he is a difference maker in this question.
but even with healthy pg, this laker team to me seems better. we're so big, and the good kind of big. not lurches. its all about the refs. will they let the bigs dominate? if so, we win it all this year barring injuries. |

Yeah, it's mind-boggling that people are so scared of the Clippers and don't realize that healthy Warriors and new Rockets are our biggest threat in the West.
Is there anyone on this planet who would trade Lebron and AD for Kawhi and George?
Is there anyone on this planet who would trade Cousins and McGee for Zubac and Harrell?
Is there anyone on this planet who would trade Kuzma, Green, Bradley and KCP for Williams, Beverly, Shamet and Harkless?
We are better than Clippers in so many ways that's even ridiculous to pay attention to them, and i love how people constantly overrate Clippers scrubs while at the same time underrate our own players, not to mention that we also have Rondo, Cook, Daniels, Caruso and Dudley who will help us down the line, we have incredible depth and most importantly, we have two best basketball players on the planet, nobody is close to Lebron and AD, nobody. |

Most people would probably trade AD & Bron for PG & Klaw. |

The funny thing is , the biased media (and uninformed fans ) keep saying a lot has to go right for us to be good this year .
What about the clips ? You have mr load management (who WONT be able to take off 20 games in the tough west) and Paul George who is clearly injury prone with both shoulders and other injuries as well.
If we are healthy and boogie is 80% or better , the clips can’t beat us in a series with our bigs inside. It’s what puts us over the top against them. That and our play making on offense. And give a known choker like PG the ball at the end of the game.. watch what happens _________________ Dominating every day. |

No way, even trading AD alone for PG & Kawhi would be extremely hard call to make if AD isn't requesting to be traded, plus Lebron is still much better than any of those players.
If i had to trade Lebron & AD it would be for something like Steph Curry/Greek Freak/Luka Doncic and bunch of 1st round picks and swaps. |

Never said boogie needs to dominate inside scoring wise. It could be his playmaking, his rebounding , etc. A healthy boogie is a great asset , along with AD and Mcgee. However you slice it, we are better than the clippers inside. _________________ Dominating every day. |

He hasn’t performed well in the playoffs in his career and everyone knows that. I’m not worried about him late in games. Look at his playoff stats vs the Jazz last year and Blazers this year. That kind of play won’t beat us. _________________ Dominating every day. |

The Clips will out-quick the Lakers at both ends of the floor, out-shoot us as well, and change ends faster than us each direction as well.
Our team speed hasn't been this rocky in quite some time. _________________ “These GOAT discussions are fun distractions while sitting around waiting for the pizza to be served.”

Without Davis the Clippers win handily, but with a Davis there’s no one there to stop him. And then add Cousins into the mix. It’s not pretty. |

Co-sign. PG has routinely choked in the playoffs, and he has done nothing when his teams need him most. He will disappear again if we face the Clippers in the playoffs (like he always does). Let's see how one-legged Kawhi does against a healthy LeBron and AD. I think this series will not be as close as people think, and I anticipate the Jazz or Nuggets giving us more problems than the Clippers. |

Right now I'd give the Clippers the advantage. We just saw Kawhi put the clamps on a 6-11 Giannis. I wouldn't immediately dismiss his ability to check AD. So you could argue they have answers for both our stars whereas we do not. However, I do acknowledge AD has a better post game and shoots better than Giannis which may make the difference. Also, Giannis' role as an initiator plays more into Kawhi's strengths on D.
AB is a good counter to Lou Will who thrives at 1-on-1 scoring, which plays into AB's strength as a defender. You can otherwise hide Lebron on Patrick Beverly.
IMO, things swing in the Lakers' favor if they get Iggy or Cousins reverts to All-Star form. _________________ Luxury Tax/FA Spreadsheet (Save to your Google Drive to edit) |

Giannis doesnt have the shooting or post game of AD. You take away his drive youve neutralized him. Clips put KL on AD and its game over |

Eh... the two sets of duos are pretty close, but I give AD and LeBron the edge based on being a better fit and slightly less injury concerns. |

Let's see now... so far there are 35 who voted for the Dippers in this poll... and there's 28 who voted yes to Dwight in that poll. I'm thinking all 28 are a subset of the 35. |

I would also add that clippers have better coaching. So right now clippers have an edge. Both teams are flawed, Lakers lack a wing stopper and a second play-maker behind LeBron (rondo is not playable) and Clippers lack a quality big (J. Grren and Harell are too small) and also a play-maker (neiyher Kawhi and PG are that) |

Hmm, that's a nice comp but I prefer to look at the main 10 man rotation.
1-5:
Bradley - Green - LeBron - AD - McGee
PatBev - Shamet - Kawaii - Paula - Harrell
- They have an edge over us on offense/defense.
- Offense, I probably don't need to explain.
- Defense, because although we're strong in the paint... that's not where they'll be doing most of their scoring from.
6-10:
Cook - KCP - Dudley - Kuzma - Boogie
Lou - McGruder - Harkless - Ja Green - Zubac
- We have the better 2nd unit and more tools that can be used to close a gap or build a lead, on paper at least.
Overall, it's really close and not much separates the two teams. The Dippers have the edge in their 1-5, which is real important... but we have a much better coaching staff than in the recent past... who will hopefully be able to use the 6-10 to put us on top.
---
Others:
Caruso, Rondo, Daniels, Norvell, THT, Holman.
Mann, Robinson, Kabengele, Motley.
- We have better players... but their guys are probably better plug-n-plays if anyone outside of Kawaii/Paula aren't available. |
