Rondo helped get Bradley and Boogie here. Very good recruiter for non-star player.

Should just give him a front office or coaching job

No matter what Laker fans think about Rondo I can guarantee you that half of the NBA respects him and consider him a role model.

Rondo has been teammates with LeBron, Kuzma, Pope, Mcgee, Caruso, Davis, Boogie and Bradley. The only players on the roster making over the minimum he doesn't have a relationship with are Green and cook. He was also a favorite of Walton's (which probably means Jeanie doesn't mind him). He and Kidd also have a long standing relationship.

He's going to have pull in the locker room.

Are we really pretending those players had a lot of options?

For the price we payed, especially Boogie? I am pretty sure most other teams would have gladly payed that and took the chance.

I'm not sure about 40 pounds, but the photo circulated by the Lakers definitely had him looking slimmed down.

This is why Rondo is a good signing (as long as he comes off the bench). He has chemistry with all those guys, which will greatly help the team collectively build chemistry. Not to mention how good of a passer and floor general he is. His defense may suck but his strengths outweigh that weakness imo.

I'm hoping coaching from the bench is his role this season. Not many young guys to mentor, but this is where he belongs now.

If Vogel plays into politics then Rondo is getting time on the floor, but I think Vogel will do anything it takes to win because this year is pretty important. As a defensive-minded coach, he's probably ripping hairs out watching Rondo on film

That's what he would like people to think. Numbers do not lie. And numbers tell us teams are doing better without him than with him.

The fact that he will likely earn PT over guys like Caruso will be a test of whether this team truly understands analytics 101.

I'm fine with him being on the team and being a good locker room presence and such. But other players merit more playing time over him.

His chemistry is so good that he can take over someone else's thread.

If the 40 pound thing is true, it doesn’t bode well for his long term career on the nba if he let himself get that far out of shape since it doesn’t speak very well of his habits, even taking into account injuries. But fortunately for us, his next two seasons are the only ones that matter to us right now.

Avery Bradley Has Clippers Games ‘Circled On The Calendar For Myself’

“I’m a competitor. That’s a team I played for, and it’s just going to be like every other team I played for, although it’s business and it didn’t work out, those are teams I’m not on anymore. I’m an ultimate competitor. I’m pretty sure I can speak for every guy that’s in our locker room, whatever team they played for before, they want to go out there and prove a point. Let that be a game they go out there and play as hard as they can. Clippers is going to be one of those games for me.”

The Pelicans were about 10 net rating points worse with Rondo, Davis and Cousins than with Holiday, Davis and Cousins. Maybe they had chemistry with Rondo but it was a net negative.

Why you people keep Inking Iggy in our lineup?

Iggy won't be waived. There are 5 teams looking for getting him in a trade and they have to send 12 mil and some picks for him.

Korver & Livingston were waived because their salaries were not guaranteed and otherwise will have to pay them. That's not Iggy case. Memphis has to pay the 17mil he is guaranteed for this year.

Possibly because the Grizzlies have 17 guaranteed contracts and need to reduce them to 15 per league rule???

In LG lore, there can never be another bulldog at the one...there is only one Marcus Banks.

Marcus Banks, Jonathan Bender, and that 19th pick are the trinity of the mid-2000s LG faith.

Good times!

Cautious optimism. He did look washed up a bit until a late season resurgence (not sure how much we can look into that).
