That's the easy part. Do we win a RS game at Portland? That's the real challenge.

I will bet $100 on the Lakers to win it all.

Someone please suggest a site or a book.

Bovada I bet there, and if it's your first time they give you like a $50 credit.

Or if you live in Las Vegas Nevada, just walk into any casino

Just placing the history of the LA Lakers at the start of every decade

2010 Champion
2020 - Going to be a very good year just have a feeling

It seems like Lakers greatness goes in 20-year cycles:

Late 40s, early 50s: 5 championships with Mikan
60s: Draft Baylor in 58, draft West in 60, they go to the finals a bunch of times over the next dozen years
80s: Trade for Kareem in 75, draft Magic in 79 and win five championships
2000s: Acquire Shaq and Kobe in 96, win 5 championships

We got LeBron last year, and this year we got AD. That 20-year cycle is starting up again soon.

Someone on this forum said that is the Lakers formula. Win championships than have a few crappy years and when the time comes (like this summer), strike hard.

No way we're winning anything unless Lebron remains historically great at his age. It's going to be a crowning achievement for him. But should he lose a step next year, and we're not good enough to win, he's going to get shredded.

At the very least we will be serious contenders. We obviously will make the playoffs, So really the season will be about working out what works best and how good can we be and play. Plenty of games/time to figure it all out.

Every day I am more and more confident. We have a great team and great coaching staff. Hope injuries will move from us. Only thing we need now.

Assuming Cousins is Cousins of old, I don’t see anyone stopping us. Davis is going to feast in the playoffs, we have shooters to surround him and that’s not even factoring in LeBron. And then you add Cousins, Kuzbass, Green, this team is loaded.

Barring crazy injuries I don’t see anyone outlasting in a 7 game series.

This has a feel of Kobe-Pau on steroid... LeBron is just a way more willing passer and AD is an even more athletic version of Pau

I don't think next season's Bron will be as good as repeat-era Kobe, but this current team has more talent than Kobe's squads.

Lot of talent - Cousins may be our Mychal Thompson 2.0.

I am glad we did not get Leonard. Now we can go earn that championship and it will mean more.

No doubt about it!

Start ordering the Rings...!

If you add up the career averages for the current team, it comes to 168 points per game...

Man, they are gonna run right over those other teams...!

It's an interesting comparison, obviously Kobe-LBJ are the alpha's. Then you have

Pau-AD
Bynum-Boogie
Kuz-LO
Fish-Green
Farmer-Rondo (?)

Not sure if those comparisons make sense, but we can be pretty certain AD as that big for Lebron is gonna fit like a glove how Pau did seamlessly when sliding next to Kobe.

We are missing a counterpart for MWP.
