Every thread you don’t agree with you want locked. That you JD?

I watched almost every game the past 10 seasons and will this season. I thought that the team was boring last season but still cheered for them.

I will never be bored of winning. When Chucky Atkins and Chris Mihm got us a win I was still entertained. That's called being a fan. It's always fun when you have a rooting interest and that interest becomes reality.

It all depends on how the first 2 months of the season go. We should be able to gauge the team by then. Also, I don't want to see lebron making $154 million and pouting like an infant. Watching a guy play zero defense and whining and blaming his teammates for not covering for him really turned me off last season....and not making the playoffs didn't help.

I will be honest, after Lebron got hurt last season I did not watch many games.

Prior to that after Kobe's retirement, I watched maybe 10-15% of the games.

4. Guys who can hit the 3 ball and back to back FTs

There is so much to be underwhelmed by...and thanks for creating a thread to tell us all how you feel. I'm sure you don't need attention.

It's a legit question. Winning is nice but style is good too.

For example. I was gonna go to US- Spain game in Anaheim. But the roster is boring. They'll win ..but Drummond, Middleton, etc don't interest me

Only in today's world can people be so egotistical as to trivialize the reason for the competition and demonstrate an entitlement to decide how winning should be accomplished without investing any sweat equity into the actual process.

If winning bores you I suggest researching what David Carradine was into...he literally loved what he loved to death.

Winning is not boring.

Team being exciting is my point. If all winning/success was fun how many of the LA Sparks championships did you or ppl tune into.

A roster/team can be exciting/fun/interesting whatever word you want to use. This team roster apart from LeBron, Kuz is boring to me. What wrong with that?

It's the way the league is now. Look at the Rockets, top team, horrible style. Who wants to watch a team shoot 3 pointers and in Harden's case, flop and free throw all game?

Looking forward to this season, haven't been on this level since Phil was here. As much as I dislike TWC/Spectrum, I'm even reconnecting my cable after years and years of cord cutting.

I'm not trying to be mean to you BlackStarMamba, but threads like this make us Lakers fans look bad. This is one reason why the rest of the NBA thinks we're spoiled, blase and narcissistic.

I myself am stoked for this season. We addressed most, if not all of our weakenesses and have, at least on paper, as good a team as anyone. We have plenty to be excited about.

I've gone on record and criticized the FO in another thread for maybe getting played by Kawhi, but that's in the past now. We have a squad that can win both a 135-130 shootout and a 104-101 grindfest. I'm ready to roll with this team.

That site really ought to increase the minimum post count before starting a new thread to 773. And then keep incrementing by one.

So you want to alert everyone on LG that you find the Lakers completely boring, but you plan to watch and comment on every game?

Such a drama queen

If most didn't watch/cut cord when the team was not winning, isn't that a definition of a bandwagon fan? And I'm getting criticized for not being excited to watch a bunch of put together roster of players that have only been in the Lakers Jersey for 1-2 years?? And likely will only be on the team for another 1-2 years maybe??

I mean the one and done has ruined my interest in college b-ball,.

HAHAHAHAHAA
I needed that, after the pathetic FT shooting by each of our young players last year...

Since I can't wait, I guess I'm trolling this thread. Here are some of my most anticipated seasons in chronological order.

1993: After missing the 92 season, Magic Johnson decides to comeback for good. Then he hung it up after Karl Malone spoke out during preseason. Bummer.

1997: We signed Shaq in the summer of 96 and we were bumping "bow down when ya come to our town" featuring Shaq, Eddie, Nick, Elden, Ceballos...

2005: Can't wait to see Kobe/Lamar/Caron new era. It was a dud.

2013: D12/Nash/Kobe/Pau... what a great bounce back after the CP3 veto. Another dud.

2019: Lebron James and the kids taking another step. Nope, another dud.

2020: AD/Bron/Talen Horten Tucker forming the big 3. I cannot wait!!!

You think watching AD play with Lebron is going to be boring? Has any other Laker fan said that here? That sounds really exciting!

I don’t care about the jersey sales. He was in New Orleans and they didn’t go far in the playoffs. Play for the Lakers and win with Lebron and you’ll see those jersey sales go up.

How many Laker big men were as exciting to watch as AD in the last decade?

A fan can be bored. Trust I'm a fan. I'll probably be in the game thread all nights. But I'll say showtime lakers, Nick Van exel days with threatt and peeler...Shaq and Kobe...Kobe and Lamar and bynum...Kobe, dlo, randle, to Zo, Kuz, LeBron...way more exciting.

Just my opinion no hate meant. Maybe I'm the only one with this perspective

I don’t agree with your feeling on this, but I understand it.

The team doesn’t feel like “my” team yet.

He's clearly talking about the entertainment value of the players on the roster (i.e. 'AD is boring'), not an emotional connection to them.

Cautiously optimistic, I’ll get excited if we get THAT Lebron. I know stats...but you can tell the difference between last season’s Lebron and seasons prior.

If AD and Lebron are going to be out for blood like I think they are...excite time!

I'd be lying if I said I watched every game after Kobe's retirement or every game after Lebron's injury. But I took joy in watching the YUTES (apologies to Yin). When Lebron was out, BI stepped up and played like an all-star. I was still invested in their growth. When BI and Zo were both out, I found it hard to get up for games.

There were times I didn't even realize there was a game that night. That's rare for me. I download the schedule to my google calendar every year but I found myself not even checking it by late in the season.

I still get excited for the season to start every year though, no matter how good or bad the roster is. I can't wait to get next season started.

Not as excited like last year but still will tune. Basically just to see Kuz growth and if Caruso can surprise and how are the role players will fit and if Boogie behave. Just waiting for the playoff run.
