Where's the gay/trans storyline in all this, or is the angle all toxic masculinity? HBO has standards to keep.

😄🤣😂

That's essentially all of Hollywood's current fad, not just HBO lol.

Will they show Chamberlain orgies and Magic banging prostitutes? I will tune in.

James Worthy says 'Hi'

I have the game (11/15/90) where James got arrested. In HOU. They were keen to arrest a name like James Worthy I'm sure. Anyway, wild game. He got to the arena from jail in the 1st or 2nd Q and just went to the scorer's table and checked in. Whole arena applauded. A lot of it was probably in a jeering manner, but some seemed to be anti-po-po BS sincere, but it went on for quite awhile. Worthy got into the game and played well and they got to OT on a prayer frozen rope 3 that Perkins banked in from the top of the arc. Chick went OOOOOOH!, etc. Got the win in OT. Quite a nite. He was 10/23 for 24 points. Hit some big shots iirc, would have to review the game. I can guarantee you that he didn't wanna step off the court and wished he was on a 6 game trip. Going home for the first time couldn't have been pleasant...

Where are they even going to find the actors to portray the players?

I just bought the book by Jeff Pearlman on which the series is based. It's only $4.99 for the Kindle version.

The book is excellent and definitely the way to go vs. what will almost undoubtedly be a dire TV viewing experience.

I cast a third vote for the book. And you should check out Pearlman's other books, too. Right now he is working on a new one about the Kobe/Shaq/Phil era.

It was excellent. I look forward to his next book on the Shaq/Kobe era.
