69 and the ring
It will be interesting to see what are adjusted predicted record will be when they replace Cousins
I have a good feeling that if we sign Noah, that our regular season record may actually improve by 1 or 2 games _________________ Hambuger! The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast

Revenge LeBron and a motivated Anthony Davis are getting this team at least 55 wins.
Let's hope those are the roles fulfilled, rather than those they staged last season: Gimp LeBron (37 games missed, no playoffs) and Wimp Davis (26 games missed, no playoffs.) One can only hope. _________________ “These GOAT discussions are fun distractions while sitting around waiting for the pizza to be served.”
I agree with your 8 playoff teams if none of those teams have season ending injuries for their star players.
But I think HOU will grab the 1 seed. MDA knows how to win regular season games. Westbrook in a 7 seconds or less offense is like putting a fish in water. And the paint is gonna be WIDE OPEN . They are gonna blow out alot of teams this year. Especially the ones in the bottom half of the league. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

Is it possible that a reformed Dwight Howard, is better than a rehabbing Demarcus Cousins right now? _________________ Hambuger! The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast

I honestly see us going 54 to 56 games, with us going 24-17 or 25-16 in the 1st half of the season, and then turning on the jets during the last 5-10 games of the year going into the playoffs.
Expecting a good amount of load-management DNPs on LeBron during January and February dog days and back to backs, with a lot of 2-man center rotations going into the ASB as they feel out Howard and test McGee's endurance. Bu March, though, if Howard survives the All_Star break, I figure we'll have a rotation of this:
Starters - McGee, AD, LBJ, Green, Bradley
Rotation - Kuz, Caruso, Howard, Dudley, then Cook or KCP
Thinking/ hoping Caruso gets his foot in the door and keeps it there for steady rotation minutes as the first guard off the bench. Don't know if he's ready to be starting PG with this lineup yet, but if he gets it, I'll be rooting for him to keep it. If they ride with LBJ as main initiator and then want solid players with defensive reps and shooting starting alongside, then Bradley and Green could get it, and Caruso can sub for either guard depending on matchups, as he's got good size at 6-5.
What's funny to me is that I'm used to old-school lineup where the multi-position types would come of the bench as swing men and fill in where needed. Now, with AD (PF-C), LBJ (F-G), and Green (SG/SF) as our most likely starters, we're starting 3 guys who themselves are multi-position guys already, so it's hard to predict a regular rotation at this point.
That's another reason why I figure we'll show marked improvement in 2nd half of season (like a 4 to 6 win increase from 1st half) and end in the mid-50s.
I'd be surprised if we make the playoffs. Health is going to be a major issue for this team. AD, cousins, howard, Bradley, rondo, green, are all injury prone players. Lebron is also getting to that delicate bball age. I wouldnt be surprised if we have a year of injuries and whiff on the playoffs
Lebron/Bosh/Wade won 58 games in their first year together.
Lebron/Kyrie/Love won 53 games in their first year together.
This was in the Eastern Conference where on paper they were clearly the most talented team at the time. Lebron was also in/close to his prime during those stints as well.
Now some people expect a team with an older Lebron plus a ton of mileage and AD to win 60 games in the Western Conference in the first year after just losing one of their top 5 players?
Lol I think those individuals might need a reality check. That's not even factoring load management or further injuries.
I reckon that folks should wipe the mist off their purple-n-gold glasses and notice how old LeBron is and how few playoff games Anthony Davis has ever won for his team. The odds stack up terrible for us.
The nearest team from history who won a championship with a starting point guard of LeBron's age was the '11 Mavs (Kidd was 38.) Let's compare them to us. I think that talent-wise Kidd and LeBron is a push at this age. Dallas needed a distributor and LeBron could be that, if healthy. The gamble is whether LeBron can avoid injury. Even.
They had a scoring demon in Dirk who stayed healthy his whole career through that point. They had a pair of still fast wings in Shawn Marion and Caron Butler who could guard wings and forwards inside and out. AD can score but his history is to disappear at big moments. We have no defensive answers around the horn. Advantage: Dallas.
They had a starting center at the peak of his game in Tyson Chandler, a defensive specialist who could also score and rebound. We have McGee and Dwight. Huge advantage: Dallas.
They had a sixth man of the year contender in Jason Terry, still able to score in huge bunches and at will break down his man off the dribble against most teams. We have, ummm, no one remotely similar; Kuzma shows promise. Advantage: Dallas.
I'm scratching my head to see how LeBron and AD make this thing work.
