WILL Howard contribute on the court AND not be a butthole in the locker room?
The optimist in me says yes. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".
Howard is hopefully smart enough to realize he is just one screw-up away from joining Melo on the permanent "No One Wants Me" NBA Bus filled with ex-NBA players, you know the one being driven by Jeremy Lin!
And he is also hopefully smart enough to know that THIS IS the closest chance he has to EVER getting a Championship ring!
Rob is his ex-Agent so hopefully there is some trust there as well, so I'm willing to give him the benefit of MY doubt...! _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”

No matter the decision, the outcome is almost always going to be somewhere between the two extremes. A poll with only extremes can't capture that.
You could have asked the same question about Cousins, and probably did. Look what happened there. Did he help? Did he hurt? No, he made absolutely zero difference in either direction.
I think there will be incidents of both extremes. How much importance given will depend on the POV of the fan or media reporting.
Howard will be in shape early and have a few big games of 20/10 and the overblown redemption story will be in the forefront. I will not be surprised to see the early boos he will likely hear turned into a sympathetic defense of “poor misunderstood Dwight”.
Like most times the focus will be on the monster dunks and blocks not on the poor screens and poor on court decisions. When the team loses because of the Hack a Howard strategy there will again be the outcry to change the rules so horrible FT shooters will not be embarrassed.
He will toe the line for awhile, until he starts to feel comfortable. Less humble and more entitled. Then the old bad habits and attitude will rear its ugly head. The frustrations of the players and coaches will be downplayed by the apologists. The immature antics and comments will become more of a story.
The disaster will be when they are midway through the season debating just how disruptive his antics are. Are they really bad enough to cut him because they have become reliant on his on court mpg and no viable mid season options to replace him.
Lakers and Howard will walk that razors edge of what to do with this knucklehead the rest of the season. At the end of the season the team will not be able to get rid of Howard fast enough.
It’s inevitable. Just adds to the drama of this season’s championship quest.

None of the above. Howard will contribute a little but not change the outlook for the year.

Lets poll NBA GM's are they more afraid of the Lakers now considering the possibility Dwight may get 12 points 8 rebounds and 2 blks a games in 20 mins? _________________ LBJ and AD rule the league!
