PG.Cook
SG.Green
SF.LeBron
PF.Kuzma
C.Davis

Talk about spacing

He folded in the Finals when the Warriors needed him to step up. His value is as a 10-15 minute guy off the bench.

Here you go again with the lies. He was one of the guys who lead the charge in I believe game 5.

Sure, his 2-3 points in games after Thompson and Durant went down was inspiring. He kept trying to drive to the rim and because of his height, those shots were blocked.

This guy won't have much impact. Just like most of the role players we signed.

Cook has been working hard and seems determined to help the Lakers, perhaps he won’t have a big Impact but he will definitely give us a boost.

Cook has a lot of experience in championship situations.
He may not be a star but hopefully a useful role player.
Cook can shoot the ball and only his defense is holding him back.

And make up things like Cook stepping up when his team needed? Reality is a real thing. Cook is a fine player off the bench, we should be happy about that.

We are rooting for Caruso, but Cook was a very underrated signing. He should look great next to Point Lebron.

I’m willing to bet he’ll have more impact than the comment I am responding to.

Big fan of both players, I'm predicting one of them is going to take a starting guard spot by all-star game

If they play well, that would be really good things for the Lakers. It means that the coaching staff values winning over Rondo’s or anyone else’s feelings. It’ll also mean that at least one of the two is playing well.

It also means that Danny Green/Bradley are playing like trash.

Bradley is becoming highly overrated on this forum imo. I could be wrong but I dont see him holding on to the starting job

Bradley has started in more than the last 400 games he’s played, logging north of 30 mpg. He’s currently 28 years old. I wouldn’t call it a lock or a stretch to consider him the regular starter at guard, especially given his fit with that unit.

I think its cool you looked up the past numbers to make a good argument but I'm betting the fans and the coaches will see QC's value real quick

I think the argument for QC is that the minute distribution will be built around maximizing our two stars. Shooting is a big part of that and something he's good at. IMO the defensive hole in his game is too great to be a starter on a contender. But he can contribute in the right spots and matchups. Definite value. Bradley has a better shot at slowing down starting level guards and has a more balanced game.

I'd agree. Simply going off their characteristics and past, I think Bradley is going to be the main starter at PG... but I also think Cook is going to end up being the first choice substitute PG (or combo guard, whatever people want to call him) in the rotation and give us good, productive minutes.

QC has all the skills we need for a starter ... on offense.
The issue comes on defense.
I was hoping he would start when we signed him.

Since then I've been told by many that he can't defend a chair. Look forward to seeing him play, as skills wise, I think he is the best fit on offense for a Lebron/AD 3rd option Kuzma type of team.

Cook is a good stand in the corner and shoot the 3 player. Depending on who is creating for the second unit, that should fit us well.

He shoots it well from the wing and off the dribble as well. Not a great scorer by any means. Not a first, second or third option. However I disagree with your assessment that he is just a shoot the corner 3 guy.

Watch this one

Fans hated Clarkson because of his defense. They criticized Hart for playing on a bum knee and not keeping up to their liking. They complain about Kuzma not being a lockdown defender. Based on the past, it probably won't be long before the excited tone in this thread changes 180.
