Danny Green has been a winner and a contributor where ever he plays.
Spurs and Toronto. All NBA champs.

He is one of those rare two way players that plays both ends.
The Lakers were very lucky to land him at a relatively reasonable price.

Danny Green’s shot looks effortless, he might end up shooting 50% from the 3pt line this season.

That video was sick!!!

Glad you enjoyed it brother, I’m excited to see Green this season, it’s obvious that quite a few teams wanted him but he choose us and no one talks about the signing because it is a very good signing.

I believe there’s a thread about the signing. People are talking about it there. 😉

I hope to see Playoff Rondo and Regular Season Danny Green light it up this season lol.

We had no perimeter threat gravity last year with Lonzo/BI/etc. Teams packed the lane against us like crazy.

You can't do that with Green, Cook, Daniels (if he plays much). Hopefully KCP can become a more reliable 37-38% 3 point shooter and Caruso's newfound 3 point prowess is more permanent.

I hope to see Rondo in street clothes acting as an assistant coach
I much rather see Avery, Caruso, Cook in there instead of him

Haha if it's regular Rondo, I agree, but Playoff Rondo averaged 10 pts, 12 dimes, 7 boards and was the #2 guy for the Pelicans team that smoked the perennially tough Blazers.

He wasn’t the #2 guy, that was Jrue. And Rondo is terrible at defense. Let him be a coach.

Fisher was pretty darn good his first 2-3 years in the league before the knee/leg injury. After that, his defense was sub-par the rest of his career. Fisher was valuable because he had Kobe's ear, something Kobe didn't have for Shaq was respect. Fisher was a great situational perimeter shooter. You left him open in clutch moments at your peril. Not a great driver, Kobe was the better passer, he was just a good cog and cohesive piece. But we often won in spite of PG deficiencies, lack of PF in the Shaq era, and lack of a SF in the Gasol era.

Green will be fine, good defensive player. Bradley I think will be more like his Boston days and will make a solid defensive backcourt. Cook will be a good offensive spark plug, especially at the start of 2nd and 4th quarters. Rondo more of a second team distributor, and Caruso likely filling the deep bench minutes and injury replacement role.

lol! 2-3 years???

this is some ridiculous way to describe fisher's career. what about that run through the spurs where he hit like 18/20 threes? that was WAAAY after 3 years into league.

Not to mention .06

He meant .04 😆
Derek’s game winner against the Spurs

0.4

Thanks for the correction. <-- Getting old

Really? Watch this. Getting absolutely destroyed by Melo.

Slim Melo was giving the business to Danny Green 👀🔥

I saw the video. it proves nothing as far as Green being able to hold his own defensively, it’s obvious that Melo is desperate for a job so he’s gonna try to go hard at NBA players.

Ok...your opinion...fair...I know it’s pick up but Melo is really taking it to him. 33 years old. What’s Green going to do with Harden, Klay, Murray, Booker, McCollum, PG etc. I don’t think Green is all that defensively. He better bury the open 3’s is all I ask.

Just from the most casual, aesthetic guess based on athleticism , I never thought Green was a mentionable 1v1 defender.. I think at best he’s average..which is useful! But against good players he’s liable to get eaten up for real. We really need a wing 1v1 defender. Even if Green is just an average defender and shoots 40% in the playoffs, I love our chances.

Hope you’re right...hitting the 3’s is going to be huge if the defense is average. 32% in the play offs last year.

Unfortunately Green is 32 and his better days are behind him. With the exception of AD we are relying on some older farts to resurrect the past. It seems that teams are now shooting for 2-3 year windows. Philly is one team that could be in it for the long haul, depending on Embiid’s health.

Embiid is one year younger than AD.

Horford is more expensive than Green and older.

So it's really about Simmons I guess.
