Embiid is one year younger than AD.

Horford is more expensive than Green and older.

So it's really about Simmons I guess.

And Zhaire Smith.

THIS is what kills me most about us constantly relying on 1-year rentals in our Mega-FA chasing days. We were so myopic in preserving cap space we didn't see the value of getting decent/ solid rotation guys on reasonable 2-3 year deals, building chemistry, and having actual assets to trade other than the high-level draft picks we invested time and heavy draft capital on.

If we had even bothered to sign some mid-level guys the year before and the year we signed LBJ, we just might have been able to hold onto a Lonzo or an Ingram to go with this year's non-Kawhi haul. Instead,w e got some good guys... but of all the players to build chemistry with, we have to rely on KCP and Rondo for chemistry and continuity? Ugh.

I love using Danny Green on 2k20 when I need a 3pt bucket, dude is just as automatic during the game like he is in real life.

If the Raptors bought him back, I think a lot more people would have projected them as a serious threat to come out of the East, that’s how much Impact Green has as a player.

It seems like this is the new NBA. Superstars seem less willing to sign on long term, and want options to leave earlier, so a 3-year window may be the new normal unless you get lucky and (1) have a really happy, winning team that wants to stay together or (2) you luck into drafting a couple of young guys who turn into superstars out of the box.

When you see a star like Leonard leaving a team after winning a ring, it makes you start rethinking what long term means.

33%, 37.9%, 36.2% from 3 a few seasons prior. The lowest percentage came in the first year after receiving a big contract.

34.2%, 25%, 32.8 % from 3 in his last 3 playoffs.

That's what worries me a bit in regards to danny green. Outside of last year's RS, he's been ok for a 3 point shooter and dreadful in the playoffs. He's not getting any younger either.

Yep. Happy to see it. With compliments about his defense. And Kuz is in the top 100 as well, not far behind him.

Yeah, his recent playoff performances have been very underwhelming as were his last three regular seasons before last year. I am hoping he can be somewhere near his career regular season % from three but you never know with him.

LeBron+AD should give him more open looks compared to Kawhi+Gasol

Green has defensively versatility and will compete hard on that end of the floor. He can guard the 1 & 2 and occasionally the 3.

D-Green has proven to be a solid defender who is dedicated to individual and team defensive execution.

IMO Green, Bradley, Caruso & KCP form a slightly above average defensive tandem.

I know the Spurs have attempted somewhere among the fewest 3 pointers in the league over the past few seasons so maybe that impacted his percentages?

*Danny Green on how he plans to maintain 3-point efficiency with Lakers: ‘Playing with LeBron and A.D.’

Quote:
Coming off of a career year, Danny Green believes he’ll be able to maintain his efficiency from behind the 3-point line on the Lakers with the help of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

The best part about Danny is that he doesn't have the wear and tear.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/g/greenda02.html

He's entering his 11th year but he barely played his first 2 years. Then the last 8 years he's played mostly 26-27 mpg

He probably won't have to play more than that this season.

I agree the only exception is if you get incredibly lucky in the draft like Golden State Curry at 7 Thompson at 11 and Green at 35

Danny Green was a solid signing and his versatility will be huge. He (along with Dudley) are also great locker room guys which is a big plus.

Looking at their history, I could honestly see them putting him on the back burner and allowing that opportunity to Thybulle.

It’s good to know that we will have someone representing our team in the 3pt shootout contest.

I guess that would make you the ultimate role player on LG
