Rumors say that it is very possible that Eddie Jones will be waived and would like to sign with a championship contender. Could he be the veteran Shaw/Harper player the Lakers have been looking for for some time? Thoughts?

Jones says he can still defend his butt off and hit open shots. To me that is exactly what we would need him for.

well eddie is my all-time favorite player after vlade, but he's not a good fit. his game has really declined so much. however i wouldn't be terribly upset if he was signed

obviously his offensive game has declined dramatically but thats not what a player like Harper and Shaw were needed for. I think he could play that role.

i don't really know if he can defend pg's nowadays and he hasn't really shown much of a shot the last two seasons. if he was signed i really doubt he plays a big role.

Love Eddie, but no thanks. Past his prime and would probably pay to much. I like Mo Evans off the bench. I really don't see Eddie wanting to be a third string advisor for our youngin's.

I liked Eddie when he was a Laker, but he is washed up. Of course, that shouldn't matter to mitch, with his great signings of Vlade Divac, Radbrick, McKie, and Shammond Williams.

Eddie was my fav. when he was here. If you think he can't contribute as much as McKie or Shammond than your just kidding yourself. I watched the game he played against the sixers and he was 3 for 3 from three and scored 11 points. He may have lost a step but coming to a contender will only motivate him. besides the fact that he can contibute more than McKie or Shammond . My 2 cents.

I say get rid of Mckie and grab him, if for no other reason than old times sake

I want to see him retire as a Laker

Even if he's washed up, he's a better sight on the bench than McKie.

We need a few more perimeter players, I think we only have around 10 on our roster.

My biggest concern would be the battle for minutes between him and McKie or Shammond.

I think a change really is needed. Both of those guys have grown complacent. I just don't like the way they are sitting on the bench in a uniform and there's just no flare to their wardrobes when they are inactive.

Maybe bringing in someone who has made some serious money and can afford a more varied selection of suits would be the final piece this team needs to take things to the next level.

I love Eddie but I don't think he'll fit in at this point. Besides the Lakers already have an old 2 guard from Temple w/ veteran leadership skills.

Our bench could breath in that sweet antiseptic scent only found in retirement complexes.

Neither. Even though Eddie will be my sentimental choice...
