Meet the [fill in the blank] John Kelly
Quote:

As of January 2019, Caliburn International, a security consulting firm which operates private prisons, of which CHSi is a subsidiary, faced criticism from south Florida media for its role,[3] particularly because President Donald Trump's former Secretary of Homeland Security and Chief of Staff, General John Kelly, is a former lobbyist for DC Capital Partners, which created Caliburn in 2018.[4] Kelly was seen in April 2019 touring the facility on a golf cart.[5][6] He is on the Caliburn board of directors along with several other retired, former flag rank military personnel including Generals Anthony Zinni and Michael Hayden and Admirals Stephen F. Loftus and James G. Stavridis. Other members of the military–industrial complex on the board include Ambassadors Richard Armitage, Michael Corbin, and scientist and bureaucrat, Donald Kerr.[7][8]

The Homestead Temporary Shelter for Unaccompanied Children is located in Homestead, Florida and could accommodate up to 3,200 minor immigrants to the United States.[9][10] The Homestead Shelter was the first in South Florida to house unaccompanied minor immigrants.[11]

This is a welcome change as opposed to being called a hive mind like before by others.
Regular posters in here debate impeachment, party nominees, policy. High stakes things. With minimal personal attacks. I wouldn't describe it as turd grenades.

Also, RustyShack makes an incorrect and dubiously uninformed assumption for someone who claims to be a "lurker" in regards to the bolded.

It's been made clear many times in this thread (especially by the prolifically involved ChefLinda) that most of the people who participate in this thread are very active in regards to holding our elected representatives accountable.

Trump campaign fears Biden more than any other candidate.
They must see the same things in their internal polling like the Quinnipiac poll having Joe win Texas.

I think that crossdressing stunt he did with Trump was before 9/11 so I had a sense that Rudy was a bit batty, but I remember Ed Koch as a guest on early Conan, circa 94/5. Conan brought up Rudy's plan to reduce NY's rat population and Ed asked, "Is he going to go with them?!..." Ed knew what up.

Look at that sh.

Gee, I dunno guy, maybe every single time someone made the vapid observation that joe is old or he misspoke.
That is and was a cheesy attempt to suggest we can’t win.

That in no way has anything to do with denying his polling numbers, much less denying them.

So again, where has anyone denied how Biden has been polling?

Quote:

Not at all, it is expressing a personal opinion in regards to how he has presented himself that says nothing about his potential to win the nomination, nor the general election.

I initially was a proponent of him entering the race because of his experience and the need for us to have someone with international diplomacy experience. He is not my favored candidate at this point because I think he has demonstrated a lack of understanding of where we are as a nation at this point in time and how things have moved forward even since he was in the VP office. But he will certainly have my support when/if he wins the nomination - and I have stated that over and over.

So no, pointing out at areas where Biden isn't as strong in no way denies how he is polling, nor is a commentary on his potential to win.

You're arguing against a issue no one is disputing.

In the coming days those polls will change for Trump

Lower and lower

(bleep).. I just saw an article saying so far Trumps Farm Bailouts have cost more than the Automaker bailouts.. so far....

While China builds soy and corn on millions of newly purchased acres in where.... Russia

While China builds on millions of acres in .. South America

People have not tied it all together but that 1 trillion deficit .. Trump has intentionally

"We will destroy you from within" destroyed every single department in America.. I say based on a roadmap from Russia.. They have had a billion plans on how to harm us..

Idiots like this get hired to what... Watch over Americans Nuclear Arsenal
Energy Secretary Nominee Rick Perry Reportedly Didn’t Realize He’d Be In Charge of America’s Nukes

Quote:
As it turns out, the Department of Energy has little to do with oil, as Perry my have assumed, and everything to do with overseeing America’s vast, and terrifying, nuclear arsenal.

Forcing the Fed to keep lowering rates .. more borrowing from future..

It is going to get much worse.. How he didn't allow William Barr in earlier I have no idea.. dude was begging to work for Trump/The President

William "The Bully" Barr..

42,000 Immigrants locked up in many newly built facilities.. Intentionally separated from their families and lost somewhere.. Evil? or?

I wonder if Republican voters really accept this (bleep)? When Republican Politicians get this much power.. they won't be friendly

Even Jimmy Carter just came out with an Age Barrier suggestion

If you have not consistently challenged your brain like a bodybuilder throughout its life then you can get to where you lose track of where you are and who your audience is

I applaud him for going out there and getting voters inspired etc..
I wish Candidates would applaud each others plans

One thing I noticed so far about Bernie.. He is staying focused on people .. very little distraction on Trump etc..

I feel like Media isn't giving him as much attention..

What is unfair about the age barrier is Warren is still very sharp..

Only thing Trump fears is the stock market crashing, if that happens Biden is the most likely one to benefit. Trump is just trying to get dirt on him in order to dot his i’s and cross his t’s

WSJ: Trump Repeatedly Pressed Ukraine President to Investigate Biden’s Son

Quote:
President Trump in a July phone call repeatedly pressured the president of Ukraine to investigate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden ’s son, urging Volodymyr Zelensky about eight times to work with Rudy Giuliani, his personal lawyer, on a probe, according to people familiar with the matter.

“He told him that he should work with [Mr. Giuliani] on Biden, and that people in Washington wanted to know” whether allegations were true or not, one of the people said. Mr. Trump didn’t mention a provision of foreign aid to Ukraine on the call, said this person, who didn’t believe Mr. Trump offered the Ukrainian president any quid-pro-quo for his cooperation on any investigation.

Mr. Giuliani in June and August met with top Ukrainian officials about the prospect of an investigation, he said in an interview. The Trump lawyer has suggested Mr. Biden as vice president worked to shield from investigation a Ukrainian gas company with ties to his son, Hunter Biden. A Ukrainian official earlier this year said he had no evidence of wrongdoing by Mr. Biden or his son.

He got away with foreign collusion last time so of course he's going to try it again.

Here we go again with rolling explanations. This is how it will go:

"There's no truth to the whistleblower story! Fake news!"
"So what, I talked to a foreign leader, nothing wrong with that."
"Yes I asked him to find dirt on Biden, anyone would. So what, it's just oppo research."

And yesterday in court his lawyers argued that not only shouldn't a sitting president be subject to indictment, they should be immune from being investigated at all.

We are beyond Nixon territory. He thinks he's a (bleep) King.

And to add insult to injury -- with Anthony Brown being released by the Patriots:

Now is a good time to remind everyone that the President of the United States has been credibly accused by two dozen women of sexual assault.

I guess there's a higher standard for being an NFL wide receiver than for being the president?

Or a Supreme Court Justice. Remember the Kavanaugh scandal? That was already 20 scandals ago and just happened earlier in the week.

Just to add to what you're saying. We have critiqued Joe's choice in strategy at points in this thread.
But also, more importantly, we've highlighted how Joe hasn't given his strategy justice in certain areas. He can corral in moderate and right voters without characterizing left voters negatively. And he's done a better job of that recently. That criticism has nothing to do with his age. It has to do with improving on the inclusiveness he's pursuing.

This is how you know that Trump fears Biden the most:

Quote:
Jim Acosta @Acosta

A source close to WH who is familiar with Trump’s comments says he has been seething for months about Ukraine and Biden. Source described Trump as “angry” about what he sees as a liability for former VP.

Source went on to say Giuliani has been “egging him on” referring to Trump.

He's mad that he can't collude in the open because after all the ends justify the means.

A reporter called me today (who is working on a new story about Trump's sexual misconduct focusing on underage girls) because she saw one of my tweets recounting Trump's comments to my boss in the 90's bragging about sex with teen girls. I gave her the names of the people at the meeting so she could follow up. Lord knows nothing sticks to the guy but if this tiny tip helps bring him down someday...
