KUZ (Nothing Really New)

Per LFR

Kuz got some light, non-contact work in today, for a short period of time, per Vogel. Vogel emphasized that it's gonna take some time for him to get cleared for full 5-on-5 work.

STARTERS

Per Trudell

Frank Vogel will start Bradley, Green, LeBron, AD and McGee, the same group that started the preseason opener at GSW. He thinks they have a chance to be “elite defensively” with that unit, and it allows him to stagger LeBron and Rondo as the playmakers for respective units.

https://twitter.com/lakersreporter/status/1184633925143912448?s=21

Vogel also said he plans to extend the minutes for LeBron and AD tonight to over 30, for the first time this preseason, looking to get closer to a regular season rotation w/the opener coming in 6 days.

I like it, sounds like Vogel is ramping things up to get ready for the regular season.

OUT AGAIN!

Talen Horton-Tucker: Listed out for Friday

Quote:
Horton-Tucker (foot) has been ruled out for Friday's preseason game against the Warriors.

Horton-Tucker will miss the entire preseason due to a right foot injury. There's a chance he could find himself in the G League to start the regular season after failing to prove he deserves a roster spot.

Yeah I’ll do the full list closer to game time (well before I leave for dinner) but lawedT. Poor dude...

Edit – that caption from CBS is so silly. Of course he’ll have to start the season in the G league, how can he prove he deserved a roster spot if he didn’t play?

CARUGOAT

I take a basketball break and my man goes down with injury...

Per the crawl on NBATV while I’m watching a rerun of Friday’s game:

G Alex Caruso suffers pelvic bone contusion Friday vs Warriors. X-rays were negative and he will undergo additional testing when the team returns to LA.

Sunday’s game against the Hornets is probably the best bet on his return, that would give him a long week of practice to get ready.

Rajon Rondo (calf) is questionable for tomorrow and Alex Caruso (bruised pelvis) is probable. Quinn Cook is cleared to play.

Rondo OUT for the opener.
