Yea it looks like he's pressing. He's always wanted to be a Laker so bad and I think he's putting too much pressure on himself, you could see him hang his head and pull his hair out when he kept missing on opening night . He was very comfortable and just let it fly against his old team in San Francisco. It's good that he has a bunch of close friends on this team, they'll get him right and he'll eventually breakout and show how much of an impact he can have.

Did not like that Cook was going for so many shots outside his strengths. I think he feels without another PG out there he has to do that. Would like to see his minutes be more with AD and Lebron, or a lineup where he is not asked to be the PG. He should be doing what Daniels was, and an occasional drive.

Yeah, he was pressing. Probably wants to help fill that need for another playmaker. I think he'll be fine, though.

Like the scoring, love the playmaking.
LBJ and Brow can't do EVERYTHING.

He did a bit of padding in garbage time. In any meaningful game situation, his biggest strength is catch and shoot.

Ball handling wise, he's being asked more than he can provide imo.

I like him actually. He is doing a little bit too much , but mostly because we miss Rondo. His perfect time is 15 min without much of ball handling. He will be nice piece to have.

Think he definitely plays best with another facilitator like LeBron also on the court. A great spot up player but definitely looks confused when trying to totally run the offense

Turned it on very late in the game which was nice, we need players who can get hot like that

Cook is responding to the needs on offense, I just don't like that role for him, and think against a strong D he will struggle. As well, defensively, he needs to up his game, to easy to get by him.

I like him most off the ball, playing as a 5th guy next to AD/Lebron/Green/Dwight.

The talent of those 4 also offsets his defensive short comings.

The role is basically like Daniels and KCP. Play him more when he’s hot and sit him when he’s not. More of a spot up shooter basically on offense. At least KCP play defense. Maybe he can have that Boobie Gibson moments when it matters.

Quinn played much better on both end tonight. Seven points, 3 rbs, 1 ast, 1 steal.

Screen elbow jumpers and open 3 ball are going to be his calling card. Perfect for the Lakers. Between Cook, Daniels, Dudley, we are covered for whoever is hot. Just say no to KCP -- sorry. Talk him into a trade later in season to get a wing defender.

Getting him minutes when Rondo gets back will be tricky. Him and Rondo can't play together, so even though Rondo will be the backup PG, he essentially won't be able to play alongside the backup SG (Cook).

In order to get Cook minutes, Vogel will have to play Cook exclusively in lineups without Rondo.

It's doable, but it is for this reason that I would've never signed Cook and Rondo in tandem -- knowing that they would represent your two main backup guards.

bradley starts and plays with ad and lbj
rondo comes on when lbj sits
cook comes on when ad sits

Cook needs to get it going, he's better than what he's shown so far. Once he gets in rhythm with this team we're going to be even better.

Is he? I would say there is likely a reason that GS let him go and that the most he could get on the market was $3m.

When there are multiple players that you can’t play with Rondo the question becomes, why play Rondo?

At any time, if Cook, Green or Daniels get hot from 3 (and these guys will/do) it is basically game deciding in our favor.
