Haven't followed the Celts, surprised they're doing so well. Are they legit, or just over performing at the moment and will even out later?

Gonna be a tougher road for them with Hayward out. I was hoping they'd make the Finals, so we could sweep them. Celtics are legit in the East with Kemba, who is a better fit for that team (and locker room).

I think early season wins are due to offseason conditioning and strength training. Most players are coming back from vacations and really don’t hit their stride until mid-season. The Celtics core was essentially representing Team USA, they were lousy and didn’t medal but that prepared them for the regular season. They needed a Tatum game winner to beat New York, so it’s hard to call them legit. It’s too early.

I don't think they have a #1 elite player on the roster, unless we have a Toronto situation (all the best players they are playing against drop like flies)...I don't think they can win a title.

Most likely have to make a trade at some point.

They are that good though losing Hayward will hurt. Brown and Tatum are legit.

Losing Hayward is huge. He's been phenomenal for them. Sucks to see since I have a soft spot for a fellow gaming nerd in Hayward.

He was really returning to his pre-injury form.

Right this moment they’re making the Mavs look like they don’t know how to play basketball.

I think the Celtics may have a Catch 22. Stevens strength appears to be taking a group of very good players and having them play together at a very high level but struggles to raise the floor of star level players. So basically he can lead a group of Tatum, Brown, Smart, etc. to the Conference Championship series of the playoffs.....add is star players like Kyrie, and the ceiling remains the same.

Their strength of schedule is 8th league-wide...So, they obviously aren't feasting on bottom feeder teams. They are legit for now, but we'll see if it can be sustained.

Nobody hates the Celtics more than me. But I've always had a soft spot for Jaylen Brown. Glad he's doing well. But I doubt Boston makes it out of the 2nd round unless Philly or Milwaukee have major injuries.
I could even see Miami beating them in the 1st round if they run into them.
