He's young but THT has that Chicago-style swag to his game!

I'm sure the Lakers will look to unlock his defensive potential in the future because of his freakish measurables.

The future is bright for THT.

Recent (partial) list of players drafted by the Lakers, is pretty impressive. Lots of slots around the league filled.

Zo
Wagner
Bryant
Ingram
Julius
Bongo
Hart
Russell
Zu

Who else, drafted by the Lakers, can go on this list?

Just keep in mind that Kostas is averaging 18/9/1/1/1 in 25 minutes for the g-league, while looking like complete garbage while playing against real NBA players. Caruso dominated the G-league last year, as have many players who are barely role players in the NBA, if cutting it all.

THT looks nice, but the g-league is barely a step above the summer league. Best to temper expectations.

Neither of them were 18!!!

THT is 18!!! Still!

Even though I graduated high school at 17, now a days, blue chippers aren't freshmen in school until 19.

I can't believe what Kobe was doing as a 17 year old in Summer League.

Ballin at 17

Of course Kobe had the experience of playing against pros before SL because of Mr. Jellybean himself, his dad, Joe.

Nance and Clarkson. The only real miss in five years worth of draft picks was Anthony Brown.

I suppose that depends on what we mean by miss. In many of those draft cases there turned out to be better players available, though some of that heinsight may actually be a player development issue.

It will be interesting to see how much of a role Ryan West played in our scouting.

West and the scouts wanted to draft Spellman.

Magic overruled them all and drafted Wagner.

Wish we could have kept him.

How would Wagner play HERE though? His defense is terrible and can’t play Center. His touches for the Wizards wouldn’t happen here either.

Why couldn't he play center? Anyway, he's on a cheap rookie contract until 2022.

I just hope the people fawning over Wagner aren't the same ones who wanted to get rid of Kuzma.

The only player I miss is Thomas Bryant.

He reminds me a lot of Dion Waiters. Skillset + body + passing...
pretty much as direct of a comp as there can be imo.
in this vid you'll see: first play Waiters looks to swing and is stuck and he's like "oh that's right I'm a skilled 1v1 guy naturally" and attacks out of triple threat, THT attacks out of triple threat often.
Then you see a nice chubby man crossover; long arm finish.
Getting trapped cuz he's slow but eeking out the right pass over the top with long arms for an assist. Then run a guy over in transition but it's not a charge cuz there was a skill move. Some solid assists.. Inconsistent but really capable defender.
Settles for off the dribble 3s too much.. inconsistent shooter year to year..

Nice comp. Also reminds me of Eric Gordon.
