Anyone watching the series? It has me tuning in waiting and wondering, who's a god and what his/her powers are. Mr Wednesday and Biliquis are two I've identified. Mr Wednesday is a shyster, Biliquis devours people through her sex orifice. I'm trying to decipher the plot.

Yup. Great show. Just another stellar one from Starz. Also, developed by Bryan Fuller, same guy that developed the amazing NBC show Hannibal. This show just gives me all sorts of Hannibal vibes with a different plot obviously. Love it.

I've read the book, but haven't seen the show yet.

I've been a fan of Ian McShane since Deadwood.

It wouldn't be at her hands.

Fo Sho

Only eight episodes the first season. I'm wondering, because it's plot is so shifting will a audience be interested in a second season? Given the difficulty in melding the moving from reality to mysticism how many willing to invest? How many will find the format interesting?

You're wrong on Wednesday. In fact they've already said who he is on the show in a way and "Wednesday" is another hint at his identity. Just sit back and enjoy what is sure to be a big dose of lunacy.

Wednesday is Odin's day...

Wednesday is Odin's day...

I know. Biliquis, Goddess of Love, Queen of Sheba, is working as a prostitute, Wednesday, Odin, the All-Father, is working as a con man. Those are the two I've identified.

Question for people who have read the book:

How well do you think the series captures the book? The book is fairly strange, and a great deal of it happens inside Shadow's head. I wouldn't have thought that this book would translate well to the screen.

That makes following the plot difficult, what's real and what's in his head is hard to discern.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't know it already came out on TV. I like Neil Gaiman from his Sandman days, although I didn't follow it as much as other people, and certainly not when it became popular in graphic novel form. I think the comic collectors should be pissed when that happened since it probably devalued them.

I haven't watched season 2 as yet. I have it on record. I'll give it a peek sometime today.
