Javale has a player option after this season ($4.2M) and Dwight is on a non-guaranteed deal. For now there's some uncertainty at the center position. I wouldn't mind keeping Cousins around as a backup plan next summer. |

Looks like Boogie is at practice and he is at least walking around and stuff and seems like he must be doing well with his rehab. I mean, probably helped that he was down some weight when he had the injury.
Do you think he sees anytime this season? March? |

Not expecting him back this season. Best case scenario was likely March. Extending into mid May.
Have no reason to expect “best case” though. Still was on a Achilles timeline that was approximately Feb/Mar 2020 to a full recovery. Then the Quad injury. Then the ACL.
That is just the physical issues. Still has to deal with the legal and behavioral issues. Personally I would have cut him after threatening his ex. But apparently we are ignoring that punk ass behavior to keep Davis happy.
Franchise sacrificing a lot to win a championship. Better deliver and make it worth it. |

Was it ever reported when he had his surgery? _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though." |

Now that the Lakers don't get the chance to help him with the on-court control, I don't know if they are the right organization to help him with his off-court life. The team could take the chance, keep him around, reach out, help him rebuild his life, and maybe benefit at the end of the process. Tough call. |
After an Achilles, quad, and ACL injury, how much will he even have to offer next season? |
The quad injury wasn't truly significant (no surgery needed) and a lot of pros come back from ACL injuries successfully in time. So we're only talking about the achilles injury, which he'll be 2+ years removed from.
But more importantly, he will not have lost any of his skills. He wasn't a high-flying jackrabbit anyway, so why would his skills abandon him?
It may take him another 18-24 months to feel more like himself again, but he can be an effective center in the league. It's up to DMC's ability to fight through his doubts and control his emotions. |
The quad injury was pretty big and in his limited playing time after that, he didn't look anything close to his normal self. It's hard for someone that size to recover from injury after injury. But it does ensure that they'll be able to resign him for cheap and that could be a huge bargain if he regains a decent amount of his former ability. |

I see a future in making headlines for you.

Keeping Boogie around is likely moreso for next season on a vets min deal. _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though." |

Really hoping he's back for the playoffs this year. Would be awesome to have an extra big body to throw out there if either of our twin towers are in foul trouble. Him and Iggy for the playoffs would be a perfect addition. |

lol, true, I'm guessing it'll be actually Dwight playing alongside AD more in the playoff more than JaVale. Boogie is just icing on the cake |
