I can confirm the NBA League Pass India setup with a VPN works !

I'd suggest using Torguard VPN if you aren't subscribed to one yet. Use this promo code: Best10VPN to get 50% off discount and it comes out to $4.99 a month. There also is a easy to use app for it on IOS and Android to use the VPN and watch NBA League Pass on your Iphone or Ipad or Android Device.

Don't use US NBA apps from the google playstore. Use this one....

https://apkpure.com/nba-live-games-scores/com.nbaimd.gametime.nba2011

1. Turn vpn on phone
2. log in app above
3. Turn vpn off
4. Cast to chromecast or watch on phone

For Fire Stick, same thing, you don't want the app that you can download by searching Amazon. You don't want the above app either, you need the NBA APP made for ANDROID TV. Last version I found was here... https://www.apkmirror.com/?post_type=app_release&searchtype=apk&s=NBA+android+TV

However, I gave up on Fire TV because I had to constantly clear cache/data and re-input my login credentials.

I'm glad Youtube has those 10 minute highlights of each game. It's not comprehensive, but it's actually reasonable to follow everyone who plays in all 1200+ regular season games, just to stay informed. Even the official NBA channel is doing it.

Anyone have one of these VPN workarounds that work with a Roku TV?

This is a great thread. For those who are interested, I took a slightly different approach and it works using only http proxying via Firefox.

1. Set up a digitalocean droplet in Bangalore zone for the $5/mo minimum plan.
2. Set up ssh key for the droplet on my laptop
3. Use ssh local port forwarding via the -D12345 flag
4. Set my firefox proxy to localhost:12345
5. Sign up for leaguepass india and watch nba!

I do not trust online VPN services, but that's just me.

Just saw Sling TV - Orange, which has TNT and some other sports networks, not subject to local blackouts like NBA League Pass (workaround is to use VPN so you can say you are not in Los Angeles)......special for first month is $15.

Not bad, especially if you watch to watch Game #1 tonight.

You can cancel after first 30 days.

the NBA India thing has all the games I’m assuming? Even the ESPN TNT stuff unlike the US version? I’m fed up with Hulu after trying to watch the game tonight. I was watching the recorded version on delay while the game was still going on. I was at the end of the first quarter and it went to commercial. When it came back it suddenly switched to live without warning and I’m watching Lebron being interviewed after the game. Missed the entire 2-4th. I was so pissed.

So one thing I noticed and I’m not sure if this is related to my TV or that I’m streaming to my TV from my phone, but when I cast a game to my TV using the NBA India app everything is zoomed into the players really close. Almost like they’re filming the game using a portrait lens. Anyone else have this issue? It’s really annoying IMO. It’s almost as they’re doing it purposely to hide the advertisements on the court.

Here is the best no ad streaming of every nba game including our lakers.....

1) go to google
2) type in the first word. Hint: a drug that rhymes with "back"
2) type in the 2nd word. Hint. A word that describes small or tiny rivers

There u go. You are welcome!!!!!

You probably have “mobile view” selected. Make sure u select the lakers broadcast (or whichever team’s broadcast u prefer) before casting to your TV or smart device

I have a guy that has streamed my Lakers for the last 3 years. He streams Pelican games and other awesome stuff. I cant post the link for safety reasons so PM me. And if you love his stream, donate! First guy I have ever donated too cause he's been my Laker guy for like 3 seasons now. Had league pass before that.

Indian league pass with torguard VPN still working great for me through Ipad/chromecast. Thanks Runway8 for the android solution.

I already had the VPN so the league pass sub was the only extra expense for me.

Just FYI if you are in need of a VPN, torguard usually goes on sale along with other VPN's around thanksgiving/black friday times. I am currently on a 2 year torguard sub for $50. It's usually $30 for 1 year when it's on sale.

Works well for me so far. The quality on ipad is poor if I try watching directly with the VPN, but looks perfect when I send it to my chromecast from the ipad.

Are there any streams that I can start about an hour after the game starts? I get home 8-8:30 and would like to start the game from the beginning.

The reddit streams have been consistent so far and are HD. You have a choice of Lakers or opponent streams as before too.

I figured out how to watch nba league pass India on my Iphone 11 Pro using torguard vpn and not having to download and use the nba official app through the ios app store.

Do this:

-Make sure you have Chrome web browser installed on your iphone or ipad.
-Make sure you have torguard app downloaded and installed on your iphone or ipad.
-Turn on torguard vpn and connect to india nba website and league pass website.
-Go into chrome settings on your iphone or ipad and select "run this site in desktop mode"
-Choose the Laker game or which ever game you want to watch and hit "watch now". After the game and video launches. Disconnect from torguard.

Again you do not need to download and install the NBA App from the ios store.

This setup has been so worth it and I've ZERO problems watching either on my Mac Book Pro or Iphone 11 Pro.

Heck I've used this VPN and nba league pass india setup at multiple cousins and friends houses who have gone the "Cutting cable route" also.
