AD: “I’m thankful. Thankful for this guy, No. 23. Thankful for the Lakers organization, they’ve been nothing but great to me ... They put me in great situations ... we’re trying to do something special, and I think they put the right pieces around me and LeBron to do so.”

Great quote. You can tell it's blowing his mind to be on an elite team for the first time in his career.

DPOY for sure. If Giannas wasn't beasting so hard, it's possible we could have the MVP and DPOY on the same team

Although Bron's clearly been the squad's MVP, AD's numbers have been incredible. So glad to have him here.

Some really nice news. These are some quotes regarding the development of the bond of trust that's developing between Davis & James. From CBS:

"The chemistry between these two superstars is so obvious. And so powerful. Davis said after the game that he and LeBron have already made a habit of waiting for each other after their postgame interviews. We always hear about the co-stars who don't get along, who fight over touches and shots and whether one works hard enough for the other's approval. Davis and LeBron seem so above all that stuff."

"So when Anthony Davis, who finished with 41 points in the Lakers' 114-110 victory over the Pelicans, finally finished his clearly emotional postgame interviews, after he'd exchanged jerseys with his friend and former teammate Jrue Holiday, LeBron made sure he was there waiting for him so they could walk off the court together."

The Freak is unreal. Our guys are going to split the vote and he'll walk away with another MVP. But who cares. MVPs don't mean a thing. It's all about ringsssss.

Last night in the pregame tunnel, Anthony Davis stopped to hug an older woman like he had missed her so much. She worked for the arena’s catering company. One of many reunions for Davis on a night that the Lakers escaped with their 16th win.

Yikes. It's crazy how bad his numbers are from that side.

Davis skills are so easily recognized.

My 4 year Old son watched the Pelicans game with me. And I didn’t really name anyone out explicitly. And tonight he saw the game and asked “where’s Davis?”

Even a 4 year old recognizes how great he is.

Sometimes it's as if we have 6 guys on defense. His reach, his athleticism, his intelligence. It's unreal how good he is.

He must be a Laker until he retires, right now LeBron and him are the best superstar duo of the NBA by far.

AD is not quite as good offensively as I was expecting, but, so so so much better on defense.

It makes sense he’d thrive as a number 2.

For sure I read a stat that has defensive fg percent (meaning shots he is contesting) is 30 percent and the next best if Giannis at 40 percent or so. That is a 10 percent difference which is Hugh.

Than he leads the league in blocks. It’s a run away as you said.

Wouldn't be shocked if the shill media gave it to Kawhi or PG.
