Funny that people were so down on KCP. First of all he's a Klutch Sports guy, so you should never doubt him or turn your back on him. He's a pure Laker. |

Lou may be inefficient, but, if he goes 1-9 and hits the dagger in the 4th, does his efficiency really matter? This strategy is how the Clippers are using him: a "closer assistant" to Kawhi. Lou specializes in making difficult shots, and, if he makes one or two of those late in the 4th, it breaks the will of the opposing defense (similar to what Kobe used to do to teams at a much higher level). |
exactly.
a lot of folks are way too obsessed with efficiency and the number game here. in actual, real basketball...you can shoot a low % and still win. happens all the time. this idea that higher % is automatically better no matter what just isn't true in real life. you can have all sorts of different % situations that results in wins....but one thing is for sure....the team with more points wins every time. this is what people totally miss when they start getting nuts with the data and stats. there is absolutely no correlation between winning championships and shooting high %, or defense, or anything like that. defense does NOT win championships...scoring more points than the opponent does win championships. |

Now apply this to #23 on the Lakers. Objective still? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

KCP had an exceptional play which was probably an example of what fans who dislike him call his "fake hustle." He came form behind and out raced an offensive player to the ball and saved it inbounds leading to Javale's dunk. Fake hustle is cool to watch. |

I will just add another example.
He made a lob attempt to McGee which he fumbles, KCP get back the ball under the basket, make a swirl and bounce pass to McGee again for the finish. |

The reason we are so good with #23 on the team is because when he is on the bench, this team finally becomes good and thats when we start winning. |

I think Phil Handy deserves a raise. Where ever he goes, players just get better. _________________ “When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.”

Dude looked like The Flash streaking across the floor to get that loose ball. Impressive play. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

I'm always one to shoot down comparisons to Magic, who's my favorite player of all time, but the way he delivered those passes was very Magic-esque. Turned his back to the basket and just swung the ball over his shoulder. Magic did this against smallers players nightly.
Utah kept overplaying the topside and KCP made the smart read and kept cutting baseline. Pat Riley and Showtime were notorious for spamming the same play until the defense adjusted. That brought back memories |

His value keep increasing. He shut down Beal and did a good first half on Luka. Definitely selling him high. |

I was all over KCP as many were (deservedly so). He has been rock steady and a pleasant surprise on both sides of the court for the last dozen or so games (thanks to Dwight for leading the brigade of support from team mates to boost this kid up). I would not send him to the bench when AB returns (I am not sure if his psyche could handle it). I think Green is the guy who ultimately has to sit (and he is professional enough to handle it). Frank will have some time to figure things out as he slowly gets AB back into the swing of things. A nice problem to have. |

Played like our third best player, when he does that, man we are hard to beat. I mean how often do we blow the Jazz out? On the road? How many other teams have beat the Jazz on their floor by 20 or more? |
