I am not talking about the ankle. kuz played with poise and swagger. Before he hit a couple of threes the game before last, I was questioning why he is in the rotation. He seems out of sorts—getting stripped of his dribble, being passive, rushing and missing shots. He also looks thin—as if recovering from the flu thin. He needs to figure it out because this is the first I have ever seen him play without any edge.

Kuzma will be fine with time, probably a year. All I wanted from him was an improved 3 point shot, willingness to take that shot in a spot up role, play within the offense and most important to improve defensively. He has done all of that.

I do not care that individually he is not looking as good as last year because he barely gets isolations now. He has been told to keep moving the ball and get his opportunities where they come. He often looks to pass when he gets the ball. He will figure it out. Teams also pack the paint against our 2nd unit when he comes in, because usually Danny Green is out, and so is KCP, so we don't have reliable outside shooting.

Give him a year of this style, system and adjustment to playing with AD/Lebron and being the 3rd guy. It will come. Hopefully even before the playoffs.

He did not have a training camp and no one knows if he is 100% or 90%..

Hopefully he'll be fine, come January..

Trying to play for the national team really threw this kid off.

To me he is playing like he always has. The only difference is we are a better team so he gets limited minutes.

He’s so into scoring when he gets the ball, doesn’t recognize split second open teammates near basket for a layup and he still make rookie mistakes like traveling... but he’s not starting, confidence thru the roof and he’ll get better

If I start a petition to waive Kuzma, can we get enough Laker fans to sign it?

Also there is the KLove and Bosh affect imo going on here a little. Kuz doesn't get the touches like he used too. Theres been little flow to his game. He will have to step in up defensively? Love buckled down and played some good defense for the Cavs and grabbed the boards needed. Same with Bosh. Kuz is still so young and inexperienced. The other two guys were already all stars.

Can’t believe we picked Kuzma over Ingram.

Essentially the same or slightly worse than his rookie season.

Very much like Clarkson, he essentially came in a near finished product as far as his style went, and got people hyped, and they were expecting him to take 10 leaps, when he really has taken maybe 1 and a half, meanwhile the other guy who came in that needed 2-3 years of development(Ingram for Kuzma, Russell for Clarkson) whom people claimed he was better than, has surpassed him in every way.

They did it because Kuzma was cheaper and they were banking on automatically getting Kawhi despite no indication he was coming.

Kuz is looking like those high volume scorers on a bad team that cant make it on a good team unfortunately.

It's sure looking like it. Very Clarkson-ish.

Why do people still make that fraudulent claim about choosing Kuzma over Ingram? Ingram, Lonzo, and #4 were always going to be involved.

Perhaps Hart could have been kept over Kuzma but BI was NEVER off the table. Griffin was gushing over BI well before he ever took the job.

The only thing that caused Kuzma to play poor today is the injury he sustained so I’m not gonna go all critical on him.. hopefully he bounces back for the road trip.

It’s disingenuous. Pels rightfully wanted our best assets. Kuz was not that.

It was his injury that caused defensive lapses? Like leaving his man open undder the basket to double team 3 point line?

I don't know the trade market... but you know what we lack: 1) Defensive wings 2) An attacking guard

If you tell me who's an option, I'll tell you yes or no.
