I'm convinced. I saw the first episode and was only halfway in. I'll give it a go. |
Episode 3 is where it started to turn for me as well. That's where it started making the connections between the show and what happened to the Watchmen.
Episode 5 was really a mind blower.
I've only seen the original cut of the Watchmen movie. Was there anything about the squid in the director's cut? |
so I am the only one that does not know why a strange old man is harvesting humans in a body of water then using an ancient catapult to launch them onto some planet? |

It's explained in ep. 5 why he's doing it and it's super creepy. The old man is Adrian Veidt aka Ozymandias. The show is set a few decades after events of Watchmen. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

I guess but I suspect there's more to his plan.
I think we get to finally see what's up with Lou Gossett Jr.'s character this week. There have been so many clues laid out since the beginning that went over the heads of people like me who haven't read the comics.
I can see why some people thought the show was brilliant after ep. 1 while people like me were like _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

yeah I know nothing of the graphic novel and have seen the movie but don't remember it
I'm sure a bunch of it is going over my head but I still really like the show
The Leftovers may be my favorite show of all time though and it definitely has parallels _________________ one dog goes that way the other dog goes the other way |

I thought last night's episode of Mr. Robot was pretty boring. I almost wished the writers had taken a different angle on Elliot's mental illness. Maybe they just wanted to put the focus on Darlene and Dom this episode. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

Yeah, you’re probably not going to get maximum joy from the show rooting for the Cavalry _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

Ya the Elliott storyline was pretty meh. But Darlene and Dom's storyline had me anxious the whole time. Especially because Mr. Robot is in the killing people off phase of the story. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

I personally didn't love this week's Watchmen - didn't hate it either, I just don't usually care for "gimmick" episodes like this _________________ one dog goes that way the other dog goes the other way |

Finished the final episode of Man in the High Castle.
Not the worst finale ever. It felt unfinished and it wants the viewer to figure out what's next, which is implicitly stated if you can connect the dots.
Good show, overall. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid! |

I went back and watched the movie....like you I had seen it, but really was not into it. It helped a little, and watching Malin Akerman is always fun. The one thing that is probably obvious to everyone that I did not realize is Laurie Blake in the TV series was Silk Spectre II in the movie.... |

Underwhelmed by tonight's Mr. Robot episode. If it was the series finale, I'd be soo disappointed. But there are still 4 more episodes. So I'll reserve judgement till the end. Still a couple big questions that need answers.

Really? I thought tonight's episode of Mr. Robot was very enjoyable. I wonder what Bernie Sanders thought of it?
I just don't know what they're going to do over the next 4 episodes.
Watchmen was also great. I'm actually enjoying it more than Mr. Robot. Only two episodes left. That old feeling like when a season of GoT was coming to an end and we'd be stuck waiting another year. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

The showrunner for Watchmen is hell bent on there being no season 2. This is a one off. I'm sure HBO will pressure him as much as possible to make another season. But I doubt he will. HBO might have to bring in another writer and different directors if they really want to go past this 1 season. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

That's too bad but after last night's ending, I can see why it will end after this season. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

If you watch the Watchmen, keep in mind that Ozymandias' story/timeline is not contemporaneous in time to the main story/timeline. We're watching Ozymandias' story unfold over years, whereas we are watching the main timeline unfold over weeks/months. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

I assume Ozymandias is Lady Trieu's father? |

hmm, I thought when Lady Trieu said her father would be there with her and her mother (daughter), but has not arrived yet pointed to Ozymandias. The Comedian is dead, right? |
