Anyone know our record against winning teams so far?

win vs jazz
win vs mavs
win vs heat
loss vs raptors
loss vs mavs

Thanks. Glad we're beating the scrubs we're supposed to be beating, but we are a long way from where we need to be.

December’s record is partially dependent when we get back Avery Bradley.

It showed today against Dallas. Hard to keep these super offensive teams in check when one of your best parameter defenders is injuried

Avery 'our 3rd leading scorer' Bradley

People are forgetting this nugget of information.

Someone has to be. We aren’t doomed but will have trouble winning our stretch of games this month unless we commit to defense. Returning from camping today so I didn’t get to watch, but GT was calling out the defense on Twitter early in the first quarter.

The first two losses were rather close, we got our doors blown open today.

I think the lakers play with less sense of urgency at home(all good teams do, just ask the warriors)

The D has gotten worse over the last couple of weeks. We were due for a loss and here it was. Just flush and move on.

Our record may only be a result of an easy schedule. We are 1-3 versus good teams with the only win coming in OT. (Loss to Clippers, Toronto, Mavs, barely beat Mavs the first time). December will be tough

Won against

Jazz
Suns
Mavs
Heat

Suns were playing great basketball when we faced them and Mavs albeit close is still a W..We aren't playing good basketball right now...Really even though our record is great we are playing anything but that. We need more games to gel. i'd say if we play the same way 50 games in it's a cause for concern.

Suns are not a winning basketball team though.

Or do they count because they were winning then?

Then should the Clippers not count? Ahhhhhh!

I think we might struggle against Portland but should win against Nuggets/Jazz.

It’s all context. 17-3 don’t mean (bleep) to me yesterday and don’t mean anything to me today. The Clippers were 8-5 10 days ago and I still felt like nobody was going to beat them. If regular season records mattered..lol.

We have done an excellent job winning games we are supposed to and it has afforded us the luxury of figuring things out for the big dance. It’s going to be tough though. We are nowhere as good as 17-3 indicates. Clippers, Rockets, Bucks, Raptors are all better than us. We are 3-3 against winning teams and I guarantee you that this month you are going to see us get embarrassed by the good teams in this league.

I’m just glad we squeaked out the wins that we did, otherwise there would be massive panic in Lakerland. So yeah you missed the whole season..our 17-3 isn’t worth (bleep). True test lies ahead.

8-7

@Jan 1 2020, 25-10

People forgets that after this month, things will get a lot easier. We havent play:

1. Cleveland
2. Knicks
3. Dubs
4. Detroit

That’s not very significant though. We need to beat some of the better teams, just winning against the weak teams is not enough.

Let’s see how they do in this tough part. Won’t be facing anyone like the cavs or Knicks in the playoffs.

The next two games will provide a good stern test for the Lakers. Back-to-back games against two very solid teams can be brutal but I think we'll be okay.

* Lakers vs Nuggets (Tue, Dec 03 — Away / 6:00 PM PT)

* Lakers vs Jazz (Wed, Dec 04 — Away /6:00 PM PT)

The key will be to not go on long losing streaks.

At Denver will be a tough task to avoid a 2 game losing streak which would be the first 2 game losing streak of the season.

I like our chances.

Yeah, no kidding, it took one loss to go from dominating the league to survival issues

The team do have glaring weakness like the perimeter defensive rotation, defense on bigger wings and lack of offensive options beside Lebron making and creating all the plays. AD so far can create his own shot but doesn’t not have enough offense to break down any team defense consistently like Lebron although he can easily anchor our team defensively. I believe Lebron can cover those shortcomings on our perimeter defensively but AD has to step up his game offensively for us to go far.

But it’s December. Too early to be concern even if we struggle at times .

People are just crazy after one loss. Like its end of the world.

I expect that we will lose minimum 25 games anyway. This is NBA season of 82 plus playoff. Your record in regular will not decide if you win at the end or not.

One thing I’ll give this team credit that I couldn’t do to some of the other good Laker teams (and at times even the championship squads) is that they’re beating the teams they’re supposed to beat, instead of playing to their opponent’s level.
