Not saying I was a member of the "Rambis Youth" but I did like his hustle and contributions to our Showtime teams much more than you do. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

come on, Caruso's impact is so obvious from any knowledgeable observer and has been getting notice from even non-Laker fans. Easily one of the better defensive guards in the league. _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

Sure but its getting heavily negated by the fact that the Lakers are playing 4 vs 5 on offense since Caruso is there on offense to be a floor spacer in the 4th quarter playing with Bron and AD and he is anything but that. More like an automatic miss |

even though he's been missing he is not a negative floor spacer... defenders dont abandon him when he's spotting up, atleast not yet. And then he contributes in other ways on offense with his ball handling, playmaking, and ability to attack the rim, and endless motor of staying active on that side of the ball from staying in motion to setting on/off ball screens _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

One more putback dunk and he can be the "white mamba"
Something about "The Auditor" or "The TaxMan"
Quote: | Let me tell you how it will be
There's one for you, nineteen for me
'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman
Should five per cent appear too small
Be thankful I don't take it all
'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman
If you drive a car, I'll tax the street
If you try to sit, I'll tax your seat
If you get too cold, I'll tax the heat
If you take a walk, I'll tax your feet
'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman |

Yeah, some people overrate him still but there is absolutely no question he's at worst an extremely solid rotation player on any team and still has plenty of room to grow imo. The kind of player every championship level team usually has 1 or 2 of.
His biggest weakness on defense this season from what ive seen has been his height since some guys have shot right over him but the effort and being in good position is almost always there which is all you can ask. |

Caruso’s Defensive Player Impact Plus-Minus is 4th best of all PGs in the NBA.
His 2018-19 @The_BBall_Index talent grades on Defense among Guards w/1000+ MP:
Perimeter Defense: B+
Interior Defense: A
Defensive Rebounding: B-
He’s not just a balding white guy. Caruso can ball.

The only thing about Causo is the 3 ball. Teams pack the paint the moment Danny and KCP hit the bench. You're seeing it right away. Rondo makes his 3s, and takes them. Caruso needs to come in and do that as well. We gotta keep working with Caruso on improving his impact on O.
Right now I find him extremely valuable only when AD and Lebron are out there with him, because they can carry the offense. When they are not, it seems he struggles, even though the D and all the rest is still outstanding.
Caruso's O rating is 93. |

"The one thing that always bothered me when I played in the NBA was I really got irritated when they put a white guy on me,"
"I still don't understand why. A white guy would come out (and) I would always ask him: 'What, do you have a problem with your coach? Did your coach do this to you?' And he'd go, 'No,' and I'd say, 'Come on, you got a white guy coming out here to guard me; you got no chance.' ... For some reason, that always bothered me when I was playing against a white guy.
"As far as playing, I didn't care who guarded me -- red, yellow, black,”
"I just didn't want a white guy guarding me. Because it's disrespect to my game." |

Frank Vogel calls Alex Caruso ‘a star defender’
Alex Caruso has carved out a spot in Frank Vogel’s rotation with his stout defense.
Quote: | “I think he’s elite,” Vogel said. “When you study him on tape or just watch him in summer workouts, you see he has pretty good feet and good length. But there are a lot of 6’5 defenders that you think you should be great defenders, but they’re not good defenders — but Alex is. He has great instincts and that’s the biggest thing with him. |

His defense is underrated, always come up in the right spots. He cut off Murray several times in the 4th, and that rebound which he was fouled was huge |

How about the soaring follow dunk tonight?
He is athletic and strong with excellent defensive instincts.
If the 3 Ball starts going down regularly? Oh my. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Look at his help defense and the little things he does |
So good tonight in his short minutes.
It's huge to have that young energy out there with our vets...but it's intelligent energy/effort. Makes a big impact. |

Once Avery comes back, we may not see Cook or Daniels anymore moving forward since Caruso deserves a lot of minutes.
Avery-Rondo
Danny-Caruso
LeBron-KCP
AD-Kuz
McGee-Dwight |
