Portland has historically been a place where we are cursed. We play them twice in Portland this month. I say we split that 1-1.

Rest of December:

@ Portland W
vs Minnesota W
@ Orlando W
@ Miami L
@ Atlanta W
@Indiana L
@Milkwaukee L
vs Denver W
vs Clippers W
@ Portland L
vs. Dallas W

That would make us 9-5 in December for a record of 28-8 before the new year. That would put us on pace for a 60 win season!

We're definitely losing both games in Portland
We shouldn't even go there.

@ Portland L
vs Minnesota W
@ Orlando W
@ Miami W
@ Atlanta W
@ Indiana L
@ Milkwaukee L
vs Denver W
vs Clippers W
@ Portland L
vs. Dallas W

We better not lose both. And if I had to choose, I rather we lose tomorrow and then win the one on Dec 28th, which is the one I'll be attending.

Dallas is too young and inexperienced to provide a real challenge. Simmons is too flawed of a player to take Philadelphia seriously, they won't make it passed the 2nd round. Remember I'm talking about playoff basketball.

It isn’t like Luka has played for championships as a teen against grown men or anything

If only it was just about Luka. Look at their roster. Seth and Boban are the only guys with playoff experience. If you know anything about playoff basketball, you know that doesn't cut it.

I’m looking at their bench with Carlisle, a championship coach.

Yeah, that dunk he flushed on Branko Milićević's nephew in the Zemun Championships was unreal.

You don't even really believe Dallas will make the Finals. You're just talking for the sake of talking.

If the Lakers take care of business... Friday can be a good day, in which we don't even need to use an AK. Clips vs Bucks, Nuggets vs Celtics. Two of those teams will get another L.

Perfect scenario for the next few days:

The Raptors beat the Rockets tonight at home
Lakers beat the Blazers on the road
The Celtics beat the Nuggets at home
Bucks beat the Clippers at home
Lakers beat the TWolves at home
Nets beat the Nuggets at home
Pacers beat the Clippers on Monday at home

We'd have a four game cushion in the West, with tough games coming up.

*I guess I forgot about the Mavs who are three behind us now and have an easy schedule next week, but it gets harder for them too after that with tough road games in the East.

That's tough to hear. Especially from Wilt.

You think every good team is a championship contender except the Lakers. Your middle name is definitely hater

Bruh. It's not like anyone on the Lakers has any championship experience.

Not really as tomorrow is a travel day and no practice after the b2b. We survived a scare in Den and no Conley for Utah so I won't discount a rejuvenated Melo squad up there.

They're barely beating crappy teams like Sacramento and Chicago

Stop it. Not scared of Dallas in the slightest. Luka is a god, but their roster is so mediocre behind him. Porzingis looks pretty bad on most nights, and I'm not even sure he's their second best player right now, which is sad given the rest of their team is role players (solid guys that mesh well with Luka's playing style, no doubt, but nothing more than that).

It's a testament to how well Luka's been playing that their record and wins have been as good as they've been. But one great player and a bunch of average hasn't historically been a recipe for playoff success, when teams can better gameplan for that one player. They actually remind me of Lebron's early Cleveland days when they had so much regular season success, then fell apart in the playoffs against more well-rounded teams.

Saw a tweet that all these opponents are having to cash the checks for the media talking (bleep) about the Lakers and that these teams should tell the media to STFU.

Lakers are not messing around.

3-1 so far in this so called "doomed December." Let's take care of business at home vs. Minny on Sunday. Then we will have a semi-tough five game road trip:

@ Orlando W (Vucevic out)
@ Miami W (LeBron usually plays well against Miami - but don't take them lightly)
@ Atlanta W
@Indiana L
@Milkwaukee L

The Bucks on the end of a 5 game road trip will be tough... And the Bucks will be coming off a 3 day rest.

why're we losing to Indy again?

vs Minnesota W
@ Orlando W
@ Miami L
@ Atlanta W
@Indiana W
@Milkwaukee L
vs Denver W
vs Clippers W
@ Portland W
vs. Dallas W

Can't believe we have a realistic shot of going 11-3 for the most difficult month in the league. More realistically something like 10-4, 9-5. But that's insane.
