As Lonzo is coming around to being healthy he's starting to play better (big shocker...)

But he's also shooting 36% from three this season as his three has been coming along.

All good signs for the kid.

Would love to have that *with* Anthony Davis.

Sad thing is, we could have. But we pulled the trigger on now and despite New Orleans wanting Kuzma, we picked him instead. Which is why it benefits us if Davis stays, and screws us over if he leaves.

So best we can hope for is a championship to ensure he stays. Or at least a deep playoff run to convince him.

Lol. You’re saying WE chose to give Zo instead of Kuz? Again while you may disagree with the plan it was a solid one to get a max slot. Couldn’t get that without Zo and BI going out. I guarantee you they keep BI or Zo if they could but of course Pels rightfully wanted our two best young assets.

Lol for sure. I thought yesterday we kept Kuz instead of BI. Today it's Kuz instead of Zo

De'Aaron Fox finished 5/14 from the field with a plus-minus of -21 in 33 minutes while Lonzo Ball dropped 15 of his team-high 24 points in the fourth to lead the Pelicans to the win.

Damn! I had to look it up since I missed the game :

24 points, 10 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 TOs, 2 steals, 1 block. 2 of 2 from free throw line too, which is probably the biggest surprise.

We knew he could play if he was healthy, and it looks like he’s finally got his legs back. He just needs to keep it up and most importantly stay healthy, which has been his main issue. He’s had these stretches where it looks like he’s figured it out and is putting up some good numbers and positively impacting games, and then he gets hurt and is out for weeks and months and it starts over. I hope he stays healthy and continues on an upward trajectory, especially with Zion apparently on the cusp of making his debut. Zion should be the finisher off of those short roll passes Zo keeps giving Favors that Favors has trouble finishing off of.

Awesome. Always said, when Zo is dialed in, he's BEYOND a game changer.

Impatient people wanted him gone, or they didn't like his dad. They crowned Fox the best guard in the draft. It was only a matter of time before he was going to break out. If he keeps it up consistently, it could raise questions about the better player between him and Tatum.

It was likely Kuzma instead of Hart. Who I would have preferred to keep, Josh is a winner.

Give me proof other than some one single, gd podunk website. Keep going with that though.

Getting (bleep) ridiculous.

At this point I think we can assume that the Lakers insisted on giving Ball and Ingram and Hart and the picks while the Pelicans wanted only Kyle Kuzma and a signed picture of Jim Buss and Mitch Kupchak for Anthony Davis.

Nice effort by ball as I watched the game highlights -- Just need his consistency to improve and stay healthy

Glad to see Lonzo getting it rolling.

He seems like a good dude, I would like to see him be successful...watch him become a Livingston type perhaps as he gets older?

It’s all about health and confidence. With both he’s well beyond Livingston, a truly singular type of talent. He does so many of the things considered ancillary well, pushing, moving the ball, cutting, man and team defense, rebounding. He’s going to be a choppy scorer and shooter, but man can he make a unit hum.

Another strong game. 8-14 from field and 4-6 from three. But still struggling with ft's. Looks like he might have turned the corner.

That's definitely something that makes him a game changer.

He effects the game in many ways when he isn't scoring. So if he's got the scoring rolling, he's even more a major impact player.

As of late it seems Zo is starting to figure out how to score at this level, but most importantly has been getting healthier and thus getting consistent time to grow because of it.

Always been a Zo fan. Glad to see him picking it up.

With him though, it's going to be about health. He's had so many nagging injuries that derail progress.

It's a common cycle. He gets healthy, starts off slow, then starts to roll, then gets hurt. But at least the Lavar part of the equation is gone.
