You do you. Some people want to stay positive.

No, I don't mean it that way...yes, there could be something good that comes out of it....I just think silver lining sounds more positive and usually doesn't come out of death, when I think of the examples in my life....

That's all.....

Yes, I will think positive, I am just saying that I don't care either way....

I don't think there's any question that I would rather see the whole league close up shop if it would bring back Kobe and Gigi. People are more important than games. If there's such a thing as a silver lining, it's that his whole family wasn't on the helicopter. There was an article about how Vanessa and Kobe wouldn't ever ride in the same helicopter for this exact reason. Another example of how smart he was.

There is a fervent hate and love for the Lakers in other states.. I'm thinking that dynamic will remain as is in spite of Kobe's passing.

I do agree that it might possibly sway FA's to give us a stronger consideration.

You should check out other team boards and especially NBA Reddit (it's population dwarfs LG). The messages I'm seeing are almost unanimous that they want Bron and the crew to pull this off.

I would trade 100 Lakers championship to bring Kobe back and have him with his family.

But I get what you are saying, though not sure calling it silver lining is accurate.

But hopefully Lebron can channel Kobe spirit and win this year for Kobe.

But really after reading Vanessa message, I just can’t imagine why the Man is taken from his lovely family so early.
It really hurt.

I am hurt for them. I know no amount of hurt can reverse this situation right now.

Reality is tough

Yeah, I can't bring myself to call it a silver lining, I do get the concept that Laker hate is taking a long vacation at this point in rival cities. But there is no silver lining on the loss of Kobe, his beautiful daughter, and the other people who perished Sunday morning.

Just like Jimmy Kimmel said: There's no silver lining. It's all bad. It's all sad.

Events like this are why I don't subscribe to the "everything happens for a reason" train of thought. Because it doesn't. A lot of things are all bad. All sad. This is such an example.
