Good way to blow off steam. Get outdoors, breathe in the air, feel the grass under your feet. Take a break from basketball while staying physically active. This seems like a smart coaching decision.
Lebron legit looks like he belongs on a football field. Also, he's protecting that new tattoo on his thigh.

It seems like a great way to just get outside and try to get guys minds on something else....but teams are so protective, I am surprised they chose to do this. Great athletes, but anytime you are doing new movements and a different surface, it increases the chance of tweaks and twists.
Hate to be a negative nancy... but why football with no cleats on grass man.. at this point we can't risk anyone getting a freak accident injury, knock on wood*
Let's stick with bowling for team bonding lol or a movie after practice lol.
But (bleep) Lebron looks like a NFL vet out there, a star tight end.

Is this a Marcus Morris “female tendencies” situation? Just curious. 🤣

I have no idea where they are at....but is that field real grass or field turf? I know it looks real to me...and it is more likely real in California (I assume), but I have been fooled a few times with the new real like versions of synthetic.

Dwight does not get much film time from what I watched (he also has short sleeve hoodie and wearing hood), but he looks like he could belong on a gridiron also....maybe a rush end.

He was a really talented wide receiver in high school. Would have played in the NFL but he chose basketball instead Probably explains why he plays basketball like a footballer though
LeBron James, in just two full seasons playing varsity football, still ranks seventh in St. Vincent-St. Mary history with 27 career touchdowns, third in career receptions with 99 and earned all-state honors in both of his full seasons.
...
In one practice sophomore year, James annoyed the coaches during tackling drills with his ability to juke out defenders and escape unscathed. Determined to get hits on James, coaches Jay Brophy, who played four seasons with the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets, and Mark Murphy, who played 11 seasons for the Green Bay Packers, pushed the cones together until they were separated by about a foot, minimizing the space for James to run between. Standing across from LeBron was Josh Beers, a Fighting Irish linebacker and one of the team’s best tacklers.
“OK, LeBron. Now run the drill,” the coaches said, expecting to see their star receiver finally brought to the ground.
As the whistle blew, Beers, standing about 5’9”, bent down to lower his pad level in an attempt to tackle James. But instead of going down, James went up, jumping over Beers, stepping on his helmet and landing on the other side, untouched. James flipped the ball to the coach and got back in line.
“Did he just step on my head?” Beers asked.
Everything else stopped as half of the team took off their helmets and began walking around, trying to comprehend what had just happened. “We had just seen the second coming of Jesus as an athlete,” Wooley said.
