Maybe the cap experts can weigh in.

Can we cut Norvell or Giannis' bro, convert THT to a two way, and use that roster spot?

Darren is hopefully not holding us hostage like Kawhi did this summer.

If this is the case I will forever hold a massive grudge towards the Inland Empire lol

Ontario already is the home for the Clippers G League team, maybe that area is just a Clippers town

Cut THT as well that dude will never flourish in our system.

Plus I think Norvell just signed with GSW

Apparently I haven't been following my South Bay Lakers very closely because Norvell was cut a while ago. Our two ways are now Cacock and mini Giannis then? I'd hate to give up on THT so soon and Klutch might not like it either.

Not an expert by any means....just an enthusiast. But I think I could answer this one. Btw, great way of looking at other ways to clear a roster spot.

But if THT's contract had an exhibit 10 clause within it, he can be converted to a 2way player....as long as its done before the season starts. You can convert a 2way player to a standard contract however during the season.

The only way to convert THT to a 2way in season now, is by waiving him, hoping no team scoops him up off the waivers and then signing him to a 2way deal using his player rights.

I believe the last day to sign a 2way player is Jan. 15th, but since THT is a standard contract and we retain his draft rights, waiving him and having him clear waivers still gives us the ability to pen him to a 2way contract.

The thing is, someone would most definitely pick him up off the waivers since his contract is the rookie min and in that case, we lost THT for nothing, but still that does clear a roster spot haha.
