Little Capri. And Kobe's sister Sharia. This warms my heart.
Thank God that woman is SO STRONG and has such incredible support
Read about her Mother being her Rock and she came to all important Kobe Lakers events
Ones the Bryant's weren't invited to. Married 20 years? Whew
The best tributes for me personally have been all the motivational videos posted on youtube, if you wanna honor the man keep his mentality alive. Here are a few:
and here is an amazing 30 minute video of his career:
"Kobe shows up with who I thought was Rob Lara, but the person that was with him that night was who he planned on keeping with him and training him," Badrtalei said. "Kobe was planning to go to Chicago. He communicated with Michael Jordan, who was helping him figure out, 'Who are you and what do you want to do in the second stage of your career?'"
By then Bryant was training with Jordan's longtime trainer Tim Grover, in addition to another workout specialist named Tom Evans.
Remember those rumblings like it was yesterday. I began to wonder what it would have been like had Kobe played for the Bulls, especially since a lot of the fans were becoming disillusioned with the decisions the franchise was making up to that point. Didn't know he spoke to MJ about it. Glad he stayed loyal to the purple and gold. He is a legend here forever. In Chicago, he would have always been in Jordan's shadow one way or another, despite his greatness. Here, he built his legacy from airballs and disappointment to game winners and championships. The ups and downs were always worth it because we trusted in his ability to lead us along the way. _________________ I miss you Kobe. I miss you Gigi.
Kobe Bryant & Gianna's Public Memorial Details Revealed
Quote:
The outlet states that the Bryant family is still in the midst of organizing the list of speakers who will take to the stage to pay tribute to the basketball legend and his 13-year-old daughter. "Tickets will be available to the general public, although there will be a number of invited guests who get tickets first, including family, friends, players, NBA officials and, we're told, season ticket holders," TMZ reports.
Tickets will also reportedly be sold, not given away for free, and that the price will be a number that "reflects the memories of Kobe and Gigi." The net proceeds will be donated to charity, but a non-profit has yet to be disclosed. There will also be careful attention paid to how tickets are created and distributed to curtail scalpers.
Celtics Rearrange Travel Plans In Order To Attend Kobe Bryant Memorial

The Boston Celtics will have the opportunity to attend the memorial for former NBA superstar Kobe Bryant at Staples Center on Feb. 24. The Celtics pushed back their departing flight from Los Angeles so players and staff could attend the memorial, according to The Boston Globe’s Adam Himmelsbach. The memorial for Bryant is set for 10 a.m. PST, the morning after the Celtics play the Los Angeles Lakers at 3:30 p.m. ET.
Anyone has any idea on when and how the public memorial tickets are going to be announced? I got my notification up on Lakers twitter account, or is it up for sale already?

Several sources have said there are no plans for a ceremony outside the downtown Los Angeles venue or at nearby L.A. Live, where thousands of fans converged after Bryant’s death on Jan. 26. There also are no plans for a procession, as was the case after slain rapper Nipsey Hussle’s memorial at Staples Center in April.
Sources said those without tickets will be encouraged to watch the event on TV at home rather than coming downtown.

“I knew we’d have a number of guys that might want to go to the memorial,” Celtics head coach Brad Stevens said. “It’ll be completely up to them, but we wanted to give us that flexibility and that option.”
