I no longer need to watch the games to see the end result. this team will easily beat sub .500 teams but lose to top playoff caliber teams or teams that play excellent D. AD doesn't seem to have the type of impact I was expecting and lebron appears to be scared driving to the rim late in games for fear of possibly losing the game on free throws. i also miss the type of D lebron and others were playing early in the season. i don't really think 'coasting' thru the regular season and turning it on toward the end or in the playoffs is a winning strategy either for a team that hasn't proven anything. that works fine for teams like the past warriors/laker teams considering they were already champs but like i said this team hasn't anything.

i personally think kuzma would be playing much better if he were in the starting lineup next to AD. KCP also seems to be outplaying Green. bench rondo and give caruso more minutes.

hope they can turn it around and go on a huge run in the playoffs.

I’ve lost interest in the NBA as a whole. That includes this team.

I think the average LGer is miserable unless they think the team is cruising to a 4-0, 4-0, 4-0, 4-0 playoffs.

This team is the definition of a front runner.

That being said, I find it difficult to watch a full game of basketball since 1/26. These games and winning/losing just seems meaningless to me now...

I always enjoy seeing the Lakers back to winning.

I think we have to be realistic at the same time, that we may not be good enough in the roster 3-12 to win it all.

And with the horrible tragedy that befell our organization, I think it puts life in perspective. It's a game, we are back to winning but we are not the best team on any given night.

But I love my Lakers, I'll enjoy the ride. Hopefully we finish 55-60 wins.

Still excited about the playoffs, but not gonna lie. I'm kinda taking these scrub-team victories for granted.

The games have been more boring and meaningless. Kobe’s death took something from all fans. Plus our team seems ready for the break and then the playoffs. Maybe the NBA should just shorten the season to 63 games.

It should be a shorter schedule. Too much money involved to change it I think.

Agree with OP. Was excited to see Kobe come and watch the team. The Luka trash talk in Slovenian was a cool moment. I feel as if no one can ever reach Kobe’s love and dedication to the game. Hard to watch this team going through the motions and beat the crappy teams and lose the ones we get hyped for. We are 40-12, but got spanked by Clips, Bucks, Celts. Been watching a lot of Kobe on Youtube, and he was one of us, the big games were life and death. Losing that Portland game showed Lillard has Mamba Mentality but the team disappointingly didn’t deliver for the fans. Lebron talks the talk, but not sure he can walk the walk in May and June. Kobe never let me down, stepping up every time. Prayers with Vanessa and her family.

I'm about as good as usual. Things will start getting a lot more exciting and must watch for me after the all star break.

I will admit to being slightly less excited, just because this is basically a team of mercenaries. I love LeBron, but no matter what he does he’ll always mean way more to Cleveland than LA. And with AD, who knows how long he’ll end up being here. None of the role guys have any kind of equity either — there’s no one like Fish or LO or Bynum who’s been around for a while other than maybe Kuz.

That said, I’ll be watching every game on the edge of my seat and screaming at the TV come playoff time.

I think between it being those dogs days in the middle of season where we know the playoffs are just around the corner, watching us lose to all the good teams while beating up on the trash squads, and then the Kobe heartbreak, I don't find the same level of excitement about this year. I still bleed purple and gold but this season does lack that same buzz and not seeing us make another move to get better was disheartening on top of all the above. And let's be real, LeBron is not playing with the same spry legs he was to start the year.

Honestly, I am not sure basketball will ever be the same for me. Kobe was basketball. Even seeing him at the games or in his interviews kept me interested in the sport itself. I know how much I love the Lakers and maybe come playoffs we will all feel re-energized but as of now, it's just not there.

As the season progresses, it is becoming clearer that this team likely isn't going to win a championship (at least isn't the favorite or likely to beat the Clippers of Bucks).

We are starting to see Lebron show his age. His fresh legs from the off-season are gone and it is hard to see how he will regain what is needed to lead this team in the playoffs. At his age, he likely needs 3-4 weeks off just to get his legs back.

AD isn't that go-to, dominate scorer we need to win a championship if Lebron fades. AD has struggled with smaller defenders and taking over games.

The roster still has many holes and there doesn't look to be any great option to fill them. At least we can still dream that playoff Rondo might be a thing.

There isn't a team this year without a weakness.

If we had the Bucks roster, people would complain how predictable our offense was; how weak our shooting was; and whether the regular season record will translate into playoff success.

If we were the Clippers, people would be complaining about lack of size
