While it's obvious that any improvement to any roster would help any team, I'm very optimistic about the current team and am satisfied with it and would like to see how far they can go - "as-is"! And here's the logic behind that statement:

1) We all knew that going in with 3 new Starters and 5 new Bench guys that there was going to be a "learning curve" that would take time for everyone to settle into their respective roles, and this takes TIME, no way to force it, bringing in anyone new just further retards this process. Oh and and all new Coaching staff!

2) We pretty much know what the players not named LeBron or AD are capable of and most all of them have shined at one point or another during the season- the key is getting them to play at their optimum level EVERY GAME!

3) We are starting to see guys stepping up, I think all the talk about needing to bring in a PG, has lit a fire under Rondo and Caruso, they are playing their best basketball of the season! Same with Howard, he has cut down his fouls and increased his scoring (although that could be due to playing more minutes) Same with Bradley, his scoring and defense are as good as they have been all season!

4) The Starters that need to step it up are McGee and Green, they have the capabilities but have slid back, time for LeBron to involve them more or Coach to make more plays for them!

5) The Bench guys that need to step it up are Kuz & KCP, they are hustling and playing good defense, but need more consistent scoring out of both of them.

6) Not too worried about the guys at the end of the Bench, namely Dudley, Cook and Daniels, they are what they are, but Coach should mix one of them in with the Starters for a few minutes here or there to get them some QUALITY playing time, instead of only using them for "Garbage time" (as Chick would say), as this will help their confidence much more!

7) The Coach and staff need to better design some structured plays, especially against the good teams and in close games, Lebron dribbling for 10 seconds and then launching a half-hearted 3-pointer is NOT the way to go...

8) Another encouraging aspect, is how successful they perform on the Road, typically young/inexperienced teams lose road games, and seasoned vets find a way to block it all out and win, which is what this team has been able to do. Need to increase their focus and urgency in home games, it seems like they "take-their-foot-off-the-gas" and coast at home, "expecting" a win and end up being outplayed, this again is something for the Coaches to address!

Now go forth and do it Lakers!

Yes the team needs to make moves.
Like moving kuzma Into the starting rotation for danny green
And making Caruso a focal point playmaker instead of rondo when the king rests

Lakers have 3 main flaws - I think they can survive without adding shooting, but it wouldn't hurt.

The other two are obvious - dealing with Kawhi - dealing with Rondo

Hopefully we will see the rise of Caruso in playing time and skill.
