Why does a win against the Nuggets get its own thread?

Because a lost to Houston got its own thread and not to mention 2 other related threads.

Great win been a while since we seen a grit win like this.

The rox game didn't deserve one. And this game didn't either.
But a win is a win so party on!

I believe this puts the Lakers tied for most wins against above 0.5 teams.

15-10

Other team is Denver 15-9

Great game and win! Loved the intensity both teams played with.

Best of all I will not have to listen to all the gloating by Nuggets fans/ radio here in Denver for the next week. Their complaints are so much sweeter!

We now have 2 wins against the top 3 in each conference. We are 0-0 against the team leading the West.

Why does a question asking about a win against the Nuggets get its own thread?

After losing to the Clippers, Sixers, Celtics, Raptors and Bucks, beating the Nuggets really helped. Especially on the road and in a grind-it-out type of game.

What is interesting that the Lakers have been great on road against West teams. Maybe one of the best in years

Okay a home

But comparatively horrible on the road against east teams. The sixers and Celtics games were not that close. Bucks not really either pacers close but still lost

I don't know if it's confidence that they are so much worse on the eastern road trips. Or maybe it's because these road trips are for extended periods

I am actually not a big fan of narratives of comparisons to top teams especially at this point in the season.

For example if the Nuggets lost a few games and drop to 4th than the Lakers have No wins against the top 3. If the Heat end up going to the 3rd seed all the sudden the Lakers have 4 wins.

I have the same problem with comparison to sub 500 and above 500 teams. Why does it have to be .500? Why not .400 or .6. I mean more than half of the teams in the league are below .5
