I think this was done in concert with Trump. This way, they can pretend Barr is acting independently. Trump said too much on twitter, so Barr did damage control.

I'll blame myself for that failure in communication.

And at the same time, I'll be paying close attention to the the Nevada caucus. There are alot of unions there.

Don’t blame yourself. But I respect that. Ownership.

I’ll give you that I generalized a bit. But there is no way everyone isn’t mostly on the same side. There is no Reagan conservative here. I’m talking about the spectrum.

Well, it seems the Reagan conservative is hard to find these days. Or the conservative that can take a little fire in return. So they mostly come in, agitate, cry victim, and leave. I think we are around phase two...

If/When the Democrats retake the Presidency can and will they find their own William Barr to find all the crimes committed by Trump appointees?

Jared failed FBI and CIA security clearances.. Failed almost all of them.. we know there has to be more just like him

Does Trump have the power to overrule them?

Yes. It is an executive branch function, and as chief executive the president has the ultimate authority.

Not only did President Trump have authority to give his son in law and adviser Kushner clearance, the president "could conceivably give Vladimir Putin a security clearance," says Mark Zaid, a Washington attorney who specializes in national security cases.

He said the president can furthermore declassify "the family jewels" — meaning secret documents — "and give them to Putin," if he wanted to.

Unlikely as that may seem, Zaid he could find no other occasions where a president has actively involved himself in granting, or withdrawing a security clearance.

Oh, I get it, the one where you called me chief, said you might be a Bernie bro (pro tip, Bernie bro’s don’t hint or equivocate, they own their dude, and I respect that), and wondered after giving us the oh so common “undercover” right wing entrees to the thread (the anti feminism identity politics concerns), and talked about how we didn’t accept other opinions (despite the fact that you were engaged substantively and not asked to leave), merely because I laughingly told a friend it’s not worth the time to engage in democratic primary talk with a right winger (on the basis of it not being a good faith exchange). I figured since you disappeared again, you had run off, but hope this satisfies your request.

Oh, and fwiw, I’ve been here a long time, and I’ve seen every permutation of the games people play online. Sorry to disappoint, but it wasn’t hard to spot. On a scale of 10 I’d give it a 2.

Well that’s the thing with this thread. Anyone who comes in espousing an opinion that doesn’t fit in with the tribe gets attacked and despite me trying to have discussion, it gets nowhere. It’s no wonder nobody else comes here. I don’t cry victim, idgaf. I’m hardly a victim in this world. It is obvious though you don’t want someone in here though that doesn’t believe everything you do.

I’ll give Huey Lewis and Kikanga credit for at least trying to have some dialogue.

The sad part is you think I’m playing games. I’m just expressing logical opinions. They don’t have to be right or wrong, but in your world being King on a Lakers message board is important.

See ya.

It would have to be that. Since we know he is an atrocious candidate, and president.

Bernie Sanders to online trolls: Stop 'ugly personal attacks'

Quote:
In an interview on “PBS NewsHour” on Thursday, Sanders added: “Anybody making personal attacks against anybody else in my name is not part of our movement. We don’t want them. And I’m not so sure, to be honest with you, that they are necessarily part of our movement.”

They literally could be anyone. They could be republicans sowing discord. They could even be Russians. It would be a good tactic to turn people off from him.

You're playing the victim right now. You've done what e v e r y s i n g l e "alternative viewpoint" (conservative) poster has ever done in the last 3 years. It is unconvincing, it's damned pathetic. Why do you have to go that route? Don't you want to challenge the other side? Don't you want to be challenged?

For those of us here who genuinely sympathize with some of the views found on your wing of the political spectrum, your showy, sassy fits of pretend outsider angst only boost the caution with which we engage you people, lest we become captive once more to yet another one of these cranky little meltdowns.
