Looking forward to him playing next year.

IMO THT should get plenty of NBA action as the regular season winds down unless we are neck-and-neck with another team for the #1 seed.

I don't really understand the reason why the Lakers didn't give the rookie a shot. It may be too late at this point in the season. It seems as though he can take some pressure off of LBJ and give him some rest minutes.

My guess is that he may end up on another team next year.

Looks better than Rondo

The lack of vertical elevation and style of play does make him seem like a Derron Williams clone.

Looking at some of his highlights I think he does play at highlevel on both ends. It is worth bringing him at end of games when things r sealed to give him some playing time. However there is no incentive for Vogel at this point to bring him on. He has enough players waiting for opportunities

Watch the guy play. Deron Williams never could, or had the balls to dunk successfully over a 7’2” Center in game. Sleeping on THT is your loss.

Talen has an average first step and no quickness. He really needs to shed the baby fat.

That doughboy, Deron Williams, is probably the most impressive pre- to post- draft story I have ever seen. No one thought he would have the career that he had in Utah.

His game is based on cuts and space created from his dribble. He’s not explosive but he’s got great body control and can finish with his left or right hand. When he is backing down players with his “baby fat”, his long arms help to keep the ball away from defenders and give him space for his fall away or step back. Deron Williams had no hops. THT has shown he can take contact and be an and 1 scorer like Zach Randolph.

Yep. he has shown that he can finish through contact and he's more athletic than DW.

I believed he played like 4 minutes at the end of a game this season. There goes next year’s all rookie team. 😝

Zach Randolph? Are we watching the same guy?

It's nice that people are excited about the kid, but at least wait until he goes against some real competition.

I would love to see him get the opportunity. He is 3rd in the organization behind only Lebron and Rondo in terms of handles and playmaking. That’s how badly we are short in that area.

Rondo is unplayable in certain matchups so it’s basically down to Lebron and THT, unless they sign Waiters.

Didn't he clock in faster than CP3 in some draft workout?

For real, he's an exciting prospect without question (especially considering how gutted of young talent we currently are) but the kid is the second youngest player in the NBA and is not someone you want playing meaningful minutes going into the Playoffs imo.

I'm all for calling him up towards the end of the season when the schedule gets much easier while Bron & AD hopefully get a bit more rest to get him some burn against actual NBA players though.
