Dude needs way more run. My only concern with him is his durability.

AC is such a smart intangibles player. He makes so many plays that don't show in the stat box. His impact reminds me of Dellavedova on that championship cavs team.

Very high IQ, and he always goes hard.

Edit: one major difference from Dellavedova is that Caruso does not rely on dirty tactics to impact the game whereas dirty tactics seemed to be Dellavedova's primary focus due to his inability to impact the game in other ways.

Delladova was also a fake defender whose hustle got mistaken for effectiveness. Caruso hustles and is also actually good on defense.

Yep. Skills difference is noticeable when overlooking the "hustle" acts. Seeing through the "hustle" acts arent easy for most eyes though.

Delly was kind of the worst of the worst: hustle matters, but the team defense wasn't thete like Caruso and the iso defense wasn't thete like Bradley. Just pure white hustle.

Rondo is of course a better dribbler and in a vacuum, playmaker.

But he really sucks the life out of a team with his overdribbling and callous approach to defense.

AC on the other hand brings infectious energy to the game on both ends. How about his monstrous putback dunks, or movement off the ball? His hustle on defense, etc. The stuff (minus dunks) that Rondo used to do when he was younger but can't anymore. It's clear as day who should be playing those minutes.

Even if AC is less than optimal on offense (which Rondo is), at least he's not a massive net negative on defense (which Rondo is).

He's a spark-plug off the bench or in the starting line-up. Every team needs a player with his heart and hustle. He's the 2020 Lakers version of "Rambis."

I can see AC's playing time increase come play-off time where each position is crucial.

As far as folks thinking Vogel doesn't respect AC, I don't believe that to be the case. I think we'll start seeing more Caruso the second half of the season.

Look at it this way... If Frank was taller and more athletic, I bet he would have been a similar player to Alex. All grit and hustle.

It's not like Vogel never played basketball. He even played some college ball. He just never had the physical attributes to succeed. He's got the mind for it though.

Physical attributes? I mean he's probably one of our more athletic guards compared to what we have. He's cramming it on people and on defense, showing a lot of athleticism.

I think you mean physically. He doesn't look daunting or have amazing measurements. But athletically he's competing and effort-wise, absolutely competing.

Vogel has known AC is good for a while. I'm thinking dude is a bit intimidated by Rondo, which is why he still gives him tons of minutes.

Obama: “I love what you’re doing with the Lakers. Great job but let’s talk about that rotation, you need to stop playing Rondo so much & give Caruso more playing time.”

Vogel: “Yeah, I love Rondo but I’ll think about it.”

I’m hoping by next year, AC is either the starter or first guard off the bench.

Still better than players who get more minutes than him.

Not sure what else he has to do to take most of rondo’s minutes. May need to kidnap Vogel’s family away from Rondo who is obviously kidnapping them now.

Vogel needs to be kidnapped at this point.*

* not advocating kidnapping, violence is always wrong

Sadly Rondo’s lack of game is a violent thing to watch.

The way Vogel's run his rotations the last two games has maximized number of minutes Caruso plays with LeBron and AD.

Rondo's PT is obviously frustrating but I love the lineups he's playing Caruso with.
