I realize the world, has for the most part, moved on from the tragedy. Not forgetting what happened, but moved on with life's demands. But its games like tonight, and Sundays game against the other LA team, that will keep my heart sorrowful for awhile because my mind reflects intensely on Kobe & Gigi sitting court side Christmas day while smiling, absolutely enjoying themselves, and engaging LeBron with such warm and pleasant exchanges.

I can't help but think that the two of them would be at tonight's game, and/or possibly Sunday's game, loving the competitiveness of the team, relishing the opportunity to see if we can make last two games against LA's other team and the Bucks tonight, look like a distant memory with back to back victories.

I don't know what stage of grief I'm at, but I do know tonight's game, Sunday's game, and possibly the remainder of the season's games, have little emotional significance for me. Intellectually? yes, emotionally? no.

I hope the Lakers win the NBA finals with the crowd chanting "KOBE! KOBE!" at the end of the game as the clock winds down.

And afterwards, LBJ (along the rest of the team) lifting the trophy while saying "this one's for Kobe and GiGi".

The chemistry of the current squad really make me miss the Kobe-led Lakers of '08 and beyond. The bench had their own little ritual crossing their legs until the first score. The Shannon block where they all look up at the jumbotron. Showtime fast breaks like that one against the Heat involving Kobe, Lamar, and Luke. Snapping a large Celtics winning streak and sending them into a losing spiral. A victorious grammy trip highlighted with Kobe's higharching fade over LeBron while he had the chills. Not to mention the numerous playoff moments like Kobe telling JR not to shake the tree and slapping Gentry's ass after closing out the Suns away. I could just go on and on. So many fond moments of a time when Kobe shined as a brilliant leader when critics denounced him as incapable of being one.

Some days I still forget he's gone until someone brings it up. Someone as invincible as him just perishing still doesn't feel right. Kobe gone? It just doesn't feel right.

I was in the grocery store last night. And as I'm getting in line to check out, I see all the tribute magazines. There were 3 or 4 different ones, at least. I had to look away, I felt myself tearing up all over again.

Noticed Bradley pointed up to the sky several times today against the Clippers. Don't know if it was for Kobe or someone else but much respect.

Sunday afternoons always difficult for me
Thatโ€™s the time I found out - so since then every Sunday around that time get that memory

But this was a fun YT vid I saw today

Look at how smart Kobe was - knew this dude was practicing his shots so made him try shots he never practiced

Diamante looks like she's aged a year in the past 2 months in that new photo Vanessa posted. Bless their entire family. We've grown up with these kids right before our eyes.
