| For a poster that's been around LG as long as VLF to be exposed now as a clipper stan is pretty interesting. Or did he jump ship along the way, perhaps during our Ryan Kelly Dark Ages?? |

He was a staunch Jim Buss supporter, however when Jeanie cleaned house, he began descending into VenturaClippersFan territory. |

Actually, while I was pulling these quotes off Clippers reddit, I noticed quite a few Celtics fans over there too! |
The Clippers have no fans...all their so called fans are Lakers haters such as Boston, Kings and Warriors. |

I knew one at a prior job who was a Clipp fan back to the San Diego daze, but he was a Boston area transplant who simultaneously rooted for the Celtics the whole time he was in S. Calif. It was a question of who do I root for, it can't be the Lakers. Once bought some Lakers at Clips tix from him, went to a game on 12/2/06. We won. Kobe 29, Smush 11. Great seats, btw. Midline, right in front of a little glass barrier -- I think the same kind of barrier that baby once tragically fell over and died. It's hard to believe that a human being actually died at Staples Center.

In the 80's, we didn't have the internet to give us our basketball fix when the Lakers weren't playing, so the Clippers past the time for me. I actually rooted for them because they're LA too, just not against the Lakers. They felt like Go-Bots to the Lakers' Transformers. You guys remember Go-Bots? They were supposed to challenge Transformers for viewership as well as the toy market. That's what the Clippers felt like to me. I watched Go-Bots when Transformers wasn't on. LOL! But ever since that "little" success they had with lob city to now, I can't stand them puffing out their chests without having won anything. |
Yeah, I got some Go-Bots once and grumbled to myself that they could've been Transformers. I couldn't say anything because it was the thought behind the gift. The buyer didn't "know", Runway. I kinda liked them anyway. Then again, I was about 8-9. You're not too discerning at that point of your life. I had Soundwave and Shockwave, btw. Fave two Transformers. I liked the Decepticons more. I've always rooted for the bad guys.
If I were to use an 80s comparison, Lakers are Classic Coke and Clippers are New Coke. Even since 1985, I remember New having the taste of a regular Coke that was flat.
