He fits better with our style of play. He gives us another option of going "small".

He is also making all of the right decisions within the defense and offense. So either a higher BB IQ or just better coaching by Vogel.

In either case, Markief is proving to be a much better acquisition than Marcus would have been.

Big pickup - was watching to see if he can hold his own against Trezz and he did a pretty solid job, also keeps the Clips from packing the paint. Plays very under control.

Will be a key part of the rotation in the playoffs!

He fits like Fox did with the 2000’s squad. Good to have an enforcer on the team.

speaking of Fox, was that him (bleep) in the front row with a hat on wearing a blue vest? wasn't sure.

Kieff at the five is so useful against teams like the Rockets and Clippers. Not necessarily the Nuggets and Jazz, where they both have a dominant center who needs to be nullified, best to use the Dwight/JaVale/AD combo there

But I’m so glad we have the option to do so

Anyone got the stats on how many mins/possessions Kieff checked his bro today? Kieff had 16 mins vs Mook’s 29, so I know Bron had him for a few possessions. Either way, they served dude with an 0-fer and he had the third worst net rating behind Kawhi and PatBev.

If only our Morris could go 0-9 (0-7 3s) from the field.

Was Surprise how many shots Marcus Morris took. Love what Markieff is doing picking his spots, playing D and crashing the board.

Half we got Markieff over Marcus

Only thing is the matchups box score, which can be noisy. Someone would have to look at the video for more accuracy. But it breaks down as this:

Defending Morris Sr.

3:35 Mins - 14.8 Partial Poss - 0/4 FG - Davis
1:49 Mins - 06.7 Partial Poss - 0/1 FG - Morris
1:41 Mins - 07.3 Partial poss - 0/2 FG - Green
0:54 Mins - 04.4 Partial Poss - 0/0 FG - James
0:40 Mins - 02.8 Partial Poss - 0/0 FG - Kuzma
0:29 Mins - 02.3 Partial Poss - 0/2 FG - Bradley

I think Kieff gives us more of what we were hoping to get from Boogie before his injury - not in terms of the sheer mass that Boogie could provide at 7-0, 265, but the sort of versatility on offense between working the post and shooting outside. Does Kieff have the same post moves and passing as Boogie? No, but Dwight doesn't really have a back-to-the-basket game, either.

Dwight's points are primarily on put-backs, alley-oops, and transition, and while the first category can present itself in any game, the latter two are harder to find in playoff crunch time. Dwight certainly gives us shot-blocking, rebounding, energy, hustle, rebounding, all of which are valuable.

Having Kief allows us to play Rondo without clogging up the middle with Dwight/McGee.

Dwight has been and should be good for us. Will he have some slumps,
sure, but I think he’ll be fine.

His defense has been declining for a good month.

Our answer to Houston's small ball lineup.

Could be Dwight needs to recharge. He isn't young anymore could be that he is just a bit wore down.

Either Pete or Darius or Irwin said it. Dwight is too slow to guard Harrel. Plus Morris opened us our small ball line up.

Dwight's issue is he cannot spread the floor one iota. Against a big rugged team like the Nuggets/Jazz he'll play. But against teams like the Clips/Houston he won't. Thankfully we have Keef.

Agree with all of this....I'm a big advocate of Dwight and hope that the reduced minutes...against certain teams doesn't cause him to pout. He's going to be needed against teams with bigs i.e. Denver, Utah, Memphis and OKC.

Thx much bro!

I did see Kieff and AD huddle up on the sideline snickering after AD and Mook tangled up for a moment. #InsiderInfo
