If NBA will suspend the games for about a month who do you think will be healthy in the playoffs from the injured players?

Will KD and Irving be healthy?

How abkut Cousins? Maybe Lakers should already talk to cousins or else he might end up snatched by the Flips.

It's suspended "indefinitely," which could mean a week or entirely. Nobody knows. I bet they're going to take it about a week at a time.

Lets assume a week or 2..any conjuncture I what would happened to the missed games? Just start where we left off and delay playoffs for a week or 2?

I don't think we can make any assumptions about how long the suspension will last. Given that an NBA player has already come down with coronavirus, I would be surprised if it's less than 3 weeks. if the NBA resumes, my guess is they would shorten the regular-season rather than try to make up all the games, similar to what they've done in the strike-shortened Years.

I’m only hoping for the Playoffs in late April and May. Regular season done.

They cant shorten it or teams like the Pelicans and Blazers will protest especially that there remaining games are easier than grizzlies.

How about the race to top 8 spot of the west? Blazers, Pelicans, Kings and Spurs still has a shot on it.

Season is over boys. This isn't ending anytime soon. Even if a vaccine does come out, it will take several months to get it into the hands of everyone in the country.

They'll just start a new season in October. BTW Lebron will be one year older too. Sucks.

no way they cancel a season. they will play this one out one way or the other. Worst case they jump everything to the playoffs.

It makes a lot more sense for the league to play out the tournament (playoffs) regardless of when it picks up again, even if that means shortening next season to accommodate it. You don’t want to skip crowning a champion if you can avoid it.

They can indeed. Will they is the question. The 94 baseball season was cancelled entirely due to money. This is a health scare. Force majeure. Hope we can get some kind of playoffs in a month or so, probably heavily modified in numerous ways just so there will be a final result. These are unchartered waters tho.

I'm sure the NBA would like to cash in as much as possible. They could be devising strategies to field empty and/or neutral arenas. Hopefully that can be done.

Of course they can shorten it, just as they shorten this season in strike years. If that happens, teams aren't going to complain. People know this is extraordinary circumstances

NBA's version of load managing. I wonder who benefits from this more. Lakers, now able to get Lebron extended rest, or the Clips, with all their so-called hurt players getting the time off.

Lol. Personally I’m about the Lakers and don’t give a F who we sweep out in Round 1. We’re about winning it all, not worried about the teams scratching to make it for a beat down by us.

I would be extremely surprised if the Lakers cut anyone else who has been with the team for the year at this point. The one scenario that even seems plausible is that Dion, who really hasn't joined the team yet, could be cut. I was kind of wondering if the calculus on Collison changes if there's a later start to the end of the season and playoffs.

Even that seems like a stretch.

I've been thinking about this heavily the past couple of days. If the playoffs were to start in late June, it would have been 12 months since KD ruptured his Achilles. Kobe tore his around the first week of April and came back around the first week of December(8 months)

If KD and Kyrie are healthy by June the Nets might be a team to look out for. Not too many teams in the East can match up against KD Kyrie. Don't forget about Levert(just dropped 51 on Boston) or Dinwiddie. We have the better all stars but they have a better supporting cast in terms of having that 3rd go to guy, Kuzma needs Lonzos passes to consistently average 20ppg. Chris or Spencer > Kuzma.

What do you guys think about the Nets?

They could be tough if KD were fully healthy but most players take a while to get back to that, so even in that scenario I don't think Durant would be Durant. So in that scenario I still don't think they are enough to beat the Bucks or Raptors.
