Dude you are the man. Thanks for the postings. By the way, do you (or anyone) remember what game it was during the Showtime era where Michael Cooper hit a bunch of 3s at the Forum to hold off (I believe it was) the Jazz in the WCF. If anyone can remember what game this was I would really appreciate it.

That the game was against Boston in the 1987 Finals in game 2 (6/7 from the arc) and the Lakers won big, 141-122.

Against the Jazz, Cooper won a game with a 20 footer in the last seconds in the 1988 Conference Semifinals Game 5. The Lakers were one point behind.

Damn cheerleaders back in the day were way hotter.

Worthy made a huge steal to stop from Stockton from getting the ball, I miss those days..

Here are some of my favorite highlights

1987 WCQF Gm 1, Magic Johnson full-court shot

1987 WCF Gm 3, James Worthy posterized Alton Lister

1987 WCF Gm 3, Michael Cooper game saving block

1987 Finals Gm 6, James Worthy diving loose ball save

1988 WCSF Gm 5, Michael Cooper game winning shot

1991 WCSF Gm 3, Byron Scott game winning shot

I watched the entire 1980 Finals Game 6, Magic's legendary game, for the first time ever - I had seen snippets and highlights before.
Anything I say about that out of this world display from a 20 year old against NBA legends would not do justice, others have done a much better job already. But one of the things that most struck me was how his teammates STILL failed to convert so many of his passes; it was as if they were still being caught by surprise despite playing with him for a whole season!
He is undoubtedly the best passer I've ever seen - yup, Stockton, Kidd, James are all a tier below.

I remember a very funny thing Magic said in one of his interviews...he said they kept talking about Dr.J's legacy during his last few seasons in Philly.

They felt he should at least win a title but DAMN they didn't mean for Philly to get Moses Malone!

I vaguely remember a nasty Magic dunk in that 1983 finals series, but I can’t find a link.

Found it ...

1983 finals Gm 1, Magic Johnson posterized Julius Erving

That was Worthy-esque.
