I’m gonna upset people with this post but what IF this virus issue had started earlier and we would have seen Kobe more self-aware about going out like he did that day when the tragedy happened.... oh well.

basically yeah if the world we live in now was a about a month earlier, all it had to do is that basketball event on sunday was under question or was suspended and we would enjoy watching seeing Kob play 1 on 1 with Gigi in quarantine at his house

Already made a clutch review video of Lebron in the finals.

Here is the Kobe version.

Desperation 3-pointers in 2009 and 2010 messed up his otherwise stellar numbers a bit.

Total FG = 33-82 (40 fg%)

Total 2-PT FG = 30-59 (51 fg%)

Total 3-PT FG = 3-23 (13 fg%)

2000 = 6-10
2001 = 4-9
2002 = 3-5
2004 = 5-12
2008 = 4-9
2009 = 7-20
2010 = 4-17

Less than 1 min go go = 9-26 (35 fg%)

Less Than 24 sec. to go = 5-11 (45 fg%)

Less than 10 sec to go = 3-7 (43 fg%)

I still recall watching 17 year old Kobe play at the LB Pyramid as a rookie...

The shock has pretty much worn off. What's left is just sadness. What I saw in Vanessa and Natalia's eyes during that short interview was just utter, profound, and complete sadness. Speaking of Natalia...man does she have her daddy's eyes.

Feel like crying today?? Me neither. Oh well...

https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2020/04/09/the-power-of-sport--when-kobe-and-didier-helped-lift-a-basketbal

THE POWER OF SPORT: WHEN KOBE AND DIDIER HELPED LIFT A BASKETBALL PLAYER OFF ROCK BOTTOM

Quote:
I get the package, and it’s an autographed jersey from Didier Drogba. I’m a Chelsea fan and he’s my favourite player. It was from Kobe. A game-worn jersey, signed by Didier Drogba, ‘To Adam, Best Wishes’. I always thought Kobe made a phone call, which would be fine, still cool as anything, unbelievable.

‘The night he passed, I’m scrolling through, reading everything, emotional, and on Chelsea’s Instagram page, it’s him with Didier Drogba holding up a jersey that says ‘To Adam, Best Wishes’. So he went up to my favourite player, got it signed for me without me even asking, and sent it to me when he knew I was low. That is what Kobe Bryant was.’

What an incredible, thoughtful human being.

I remember after after we beat the Celtics and some of the guys went on Jimmy Kimmel the next day. Kimmel made a highlight real of Morrison in the finals and it was just clowning him (funny as hell! Kobe’s words also lol). But Kobe still stuck up for him saying Morrison has game and he sacrificed not playing most of the season because of all the talent on the team. He spoke highly of him.

I just read this. Rest in Power Gianna!

Per WNBA

WNBA pays tribute to the lives of Alyssa Altobelli, Gianna Bryant and Payton Chester by selecting them as honorary draftees in the #WNBADraft  2020.
