3rd Best Player All Time
Actually chose us wen he had independence in his career.
(Two Titles big if)
That would kick the Logo out |
Lebron is arguably on the Mt Rushmore of the entire history of the NBA. So I don't think he cares he won't be on the Lakers because he didn't spend enough time here. |
lebron should never be on any rushmore list for anyone who has seen the NBA prior to 2005 lol.
Lebron might be the most unskilled guy in the entire top 50 players list. |
I created an account here in 2003, been watching for over 30 yrs. LOL! MJ should be ashamed that a guy with no skills surpassed them in points. Imagine what Lebron would have accomplished if he had skills. WOW! You just made me admire him even more. |

It’s pretty amazing being a Laker fan, our top 10 players or so would all be top4 players on the Rushmore in just about any other team. |

You have to include Jerry West because he's easily the most important Laker of all-time, right?
Shaq was a much better player, but West's impact goes way beyond him sweating on the hardwood.
I won't do it now, but you can make a strong argument that Shaq was a greater player, with more inpact, in a Laker uniform than Kareem.
One thing I will say is that Kareem missed the playoffs on the Lakers the year before Magic came. I can't imagine, in my wildest dreams, a Shaq-led team (in his near prime) missing the playoffs.
It's West, Magic, Kobe, and Shaq for me. _________________ A creative scorer, a wing defender, and a shooter. |

Shaq did miss the playoffs. It was his rookie season, but he was a 23-14 all-star who finished 7th in all-star voting.
And he missed the playoffs for the same reason Kareem did. He joined a crappy team with bad players. It improved with him, just not enough to make the playoffs.
As far as, Kareem joined a 30-win Lakers team and they improved by 10 wins.
They missed the playoffs because (1) his teammates were crappy and (2) the playoff system was different in those days, based on division rankings, so two teams with worse records than the Lakers made the playoffs instead of them. Under the current system the Lakers would have been a playoffs team.
Oh, and that year Kareem failed to make the playoffs? He was league MVP. |

Shaq was "directly responsible" for more championships in Los Angeles than Kareem. _________________ A creative scorer, a wing defender, and a shooter. |

Fu-ck Mount Rushmore as we have to many heads who are all time greats. Magic, KAJ, Kobe, Wilt, Shaq, Jerry (this is not to slight Elgin and James). |

Mamba, Logo, Chick, Magic, Dr. Buss (I'm pretty there's room for 5 on Rushmore) _________________
