Remember when I said J.R. Smith was likely gonna end up a Laker after he was hanging out with Lakers players?
If you had called Avery Bradley opting not to play, you'd get some credit but you basically think the entire NBA will be Lakers so it's not saying too much to "predict" JR to Lakers
He's had a history of being clutch and improved his defensive effort with age. He would also be the guy most likely to break out of the compound and bring the virus back though.
Losing Avery is a huge blow. I honestly think he was our best guard and was a beast against the Clippers. Don’t want to be negative but he is difference maker in having a championship and not... can’t see Caruso stepping up that much to fill the void. Why couldn’t this be Rondo?
KCP has been well above his shooting averages as a spark off the bench. I hope that the reset and change in role won't impact his game. He can't defend like Avery, but if he can hit the open 3 and from mid range when the offense breaks down then I'm happy.
J.R. will likely just warm the bench. I watched him personally as a teammate of LeBron and he hasn’t been good since the 2015-2016 season. He’s the anti-AB.
I would be making a hard sell to Darren Collison right now. I know he hasn’t played this year, but signing the guy you passed on to sign Dion Waiters, yikes.
Seriously though, has Gerald Green's foot recovered? Don't think he's on the Houston roster; I could be wrong? _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team !

He is a free agent. Rockets traded him before the deadline and he was waived. I don't know if hes healthy. If he was healthy I would think he would be mentioned more for these open spots..
Free-agent guard JR Smith, out of the NBA for two years, has emerged as a leading candidate to replace Avery Bradley on the Los Angeles Lakers' roster for the season's Orlando restart, sources told ESPN.
Lakers president of basketball operations Rob Pelinka and Smith's agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports, were discussing a possible agreement Tuesday night and were expected to speak again Wednesday, sources said.
The Lakers, the top seed in the Western Conference, are seeking a substitute player for Bradley, their starting point guard, who told ESPN on Tuesday night that was opting out of the season's restart for family considerations. The Lakers could waive Bradley to create the roster spot for Smith.
Smith, 34, hasn't played an NBA game since November 2018 with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Smith worked out for the Lakers in February before the team signed guard Dion Waiters to a deal. Alex Caruso and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will ease much of the burden of Bradley's departure, with Waiters expected to provide further depth in the backcourt. Rajon Rondo is another veteran guard on the Lakers bench.
This is fine given the situation. Already knows exactly how Brons plays. Forces guys like Waiters to compete harder for minutes. Gives a bit of length on the wing if the main cogs get into foul trouble, etc. It's not like he's pushing anyone out of the playoff rotation unless his level of play demands it.
