Vogel is not stupid, but God help us if injuries/circumstances lead to this

The second that lineup takes the floor it will trigger the blood moon and Cthulhu will emerge to begin his forever reign. It’ll be very 2020.

The last time we saw JR at an organized NBA team event

I’m sure Lebron and AD are able to see if he is serious. I would love if it plays out exactly like it did with Dwight.

I think if JR sees the floor it means much, much more serious tragedy has befallen our team.

So AB most likely back next season.

No doubt. I don’t see more than 5 minutes of spot up duty.

Tbh it’s just more responsibility on KCP/Caruso to eat up AB’s 20+ minutes. Although I’m guessing it’s Rondo that will get a huge chunk of that time tbh.

LeBron and AD signed off on Dwight when nobody here would have. Well, maybe 1 or 2.

If they feel good about JR, I'll trust their judgement. Besides, will be nice to have our first real SF on the roster besides Bron.

Buckle up. Hopefully Dwight has already told the FO that he is in.

He was seen shooting with JaVale so I think he’s in

The lakers released their hyper video "We're Back" on IG last week. Clips were shown of everyone except for AB. Dwight is in.

IG, update your thread title before someone makes a new thread about Lakers signing JR.

This. JR is a lot of things but dude stays in shape and is not afraid of the moment(good and bad with him). Like some have said he probably won’t get much burn in the playoffs but if we are down big in a game and need a spark; dude can get hot in a hurry

I feel like JR will either hit a huge clutch shot or do something colossally stupid. Nothing in-between.

Honestly I’m kind of surprised by this after JR‘s major blunder **In The Finals** for the Cavaliers. But apparently LeBron is a forgiving man.

He’s a FA. He’ll likely go to the highest bidder, though I’m not sure he’d command more than a minimum at this point.

Yep. Rondo will play a lot. We should brace ourselves.

For those that watched Cavs last year Lebron was there...JR was REALLY bad. His defense was non existent and his shot making ability had fallen off from what it used to be.

I hope the time away from the NBA humbled him enough to work hard and bring some of his game back cuz if we’re getting 2018 JR it’s gonna be ugly if him and Rondo are on the court together.

I’d take 2020 Bradley any day over that JR...I hope he proves me wrong.

Pretty sure he's on a 2-year deal. Does he have a PO?

I thought it was 2 year deal? Player option?

Edit: BVH beat me to it.

This is my worry too. It’s also accentuated by the fact that I think we have 3 players that fit the description: JR, Waiters and Rondo.

If the JR signing pans out we will be loaded with depth next year with hopefully Bradley coming back... look at the depth chart for next season

KCP
Waiters
JR Smith
Howard
Caruso
Kuzma

We are gonna have insane depth and potentially the best bench in the league.

I'm a Lakers fan that lives in NY, I watch knicks games...... Trier would not have been better, trust me. There is a reason that he got cut by the awful Knicks... ...for Theo Pinson.
