THT’s shooting numbers are skewed lower due to a slow start coming back from injury and being out of shape early on. Hard to tell G league numbers vs NBA, but as much as some dog his percentages, he’s right there with RJ Barrett who gets a pass from many due to his young age. THT’s 3 is much improved since January, as well as his shot selection. THT has talent using his body and length scoring in the paint. He was dunking on 7”2” centers in G league...he needs some run.

RJ Barrett is a DeRozan type -- he's more of a scorer than a shooter.

As far as THT, he's played exactly 2 minutes in real NBA games. Might turn into something; might not. But hard to imagine him being a contributor this season.

Danny Green mentioned that Talen Horton-Tucker "has been doing very well as a rookie" when talking about the #Lakers backcourt following Rajon Rondo's injury.

Imo THT has always been the 2nd best ball handler/creator on the team. Even with Rondo.

I don’t think he will get the call in the playoffs, but you never know. He could be that surprise contributor that comes out of nowhere. He has the skills for sure.

I wouldn't count on anything from THT except high energy in practice and enthusiastic towel waving from the bench.

Agreed, THT looks better than ever. IMO he will, at the very least, get some burn in the warmup games.

He looks great (he is taking his job seriously). We really need this kid to be a hit for our future or our backs will be against the wall.

Same here. Slimmed down, you can really see his length. It's interesting that this feels like a "re-start" of the same season, but for rooks like THT, he's had what amounts to a full off-season to put in work and improve. At least with respect to his conditioning, it sure seems like he's done that. If he's also worked on other aspects of his game, look out!

It's been interesting to me how little this phenomenon is being talked about. Usually, young teams take big jumps from season to season when the youngins have a chance to work on their game. Is that going to happen over this "break"? Will Sacto or Memphis look better? Interested to find out.

I think he will for sure. We only have to go 3-5 to keep the 1 seed, right? And also, who cares about seeding since there's no home court advantage. Obviously, there's some preferred matchups, but it's pretty hard to control that.

In my mind, the vet starters (AD, LBJ, JaVale, DG and maybe KCP) are going to get reduced minutes. Dion and JR will probably get some good burn to get them up to speed and I'm betting AC, Kuz and maybe KCP will get some longer looks to see who can step up with AB and Rondo out. That still leaves plenty of time for the three youngsters.

THT would be huge if he can be serviceable next year. We most likely lose JR, Dion, Cook, Morris, Dwight, and Dudley. THT would be a solid replacement of a third or even second string wing player if he is NBA ready.

Hard to believe he's only 19 and one of the youngest players in the league. He definitely looks like he's lost a lot of baby fat now that he has access to nba training and treatment. The fact he's already showing a strong work ethic gives me even more optimism about his future.

These exhibition games will give the coaches a good look at THT. Talen has shown flashes that suggest, with more experience, he could become a pretty good NBA player.
He has the physical tools however his defense as well as his shot and shot selection are areas that need improvement if he wants to compete in the NBA.
I'm looking forward to watching him mature.

He has the 3rd best vision on the team behind Lebron and Rondo.

It is crazy to say, but I'd rather play him over JR Smith and potentially Waiters.

That’s not crazy at all. He’s fearless..can’t be taught. His reach is deceiving to those he’s defending as well.
