Perfectly said.

Yeah, KOC is the best. He was calling Ingram a star when many people here were calling him garbage.

I love this guy! That steal and saved ball with 1 Min on the clock was fantastic

Elite defense in the 4th

Great stuff. My only quibble is that in a 7-game series he needs to close harder on a standstill shooter like JayMichael Green - AC doesn't have the wingspan to bother the 6'10 Green's shot with a fundamentally sound close-out, but Green doesn't have much off the dribble game, so AC should close out hard and high on his jumper without worrying about giving up a drive.

You’re not wrong, but he also needs to make those open three’s LeBron passes to him. It’s painful to watch LeBron pirouette through defenses only to have Caruso miss those wide open shots. Bad enough that Danny Green constantly does it.

^Yes, I think more consistency with his 3 pt shot would get him more minutes from Uncle Frank.

His defense and overall motor already close to elite.

Agreed, but that's been an ongoing issue for him and is something that may only resolve with hard work over time (if it ever does). But the defensive adjustment, re: Green, he could make between this game and the WCF.

No.

He's a good defender - especially within the scheme - but he's neither a bulldog on the ball like AB or a lockdown perimeter guy like a Marcus Smart.

He's generally in the right place most times - which is critical - and he has great court awareness. But the "elite" perimeter defenders have that twitch that others lack.

Having said that - if Caruso could add a consistent 3-point shot with his current level of defense - and knock down his FT - he'd be a legit top-20 SG in the NBA.

Caruso starting today in place of Green.

Quote:
Mike Trudell _at_ LakersReporter

Vogel on Caruso’s Bubble play thus far: “Shooting the ball poorly but playing extremely well. Left his feet a little too often (while playing PG) to my liking, and he knows that.

But he plays extremely hard, impacts the game on both ends and the shooting (will come around)."

We cannot lose the accountant, carushow, bald mamba...

He basically has to be Avery Bradley for this team.

Next man up has to step up. Caruso is holding his own through determination and effort. He's like the Kurt Rambis of guards.

With his defensive tenacity, even hitting 3's at a 35% clip would suffice.

Caruso/Kuz have gotten so much stronger, which helps a lot on defense at the point of attack. Bring on Harden, Westbrook and Kawhi!

Caruso the facilitator? And they said we can’t develop talent. 😝

I'm curious to see if Portland makes an adjustment and go under screens and make Alex try to beat them.
