I am glad we have him in next round. I would always bet on him against Beverly in any part of the game, mental and any other. Rondo is much tougher and much more intelligent. I just hope he will not use fists during that series, even though he is good at it.

For sure Beverley is going to try messing with our players, even Jokic got riled up.

Someone talking to Pete on twitter said Rondo threw this as hard as he could at Harden

Rondo should try to mess with PG fragile beta mentality. It’s Kawhi poker face demeanor that’s hard to break. I think Lebron will exact revenge

Spectacular play by both Rondo and LBJ while under duress!

I recall how lost Kawhi looked when he couldn't switch off of LeBron in our last game against the Clips. Hoping to see that many more times lol

He has a player option. We might not have to, unless you are implying that he would opt out.

If he keeps playing this well, he will probably opt out and hope for a small raise. He's only signed to the vet min. Lakers would have early bird rights.

Before he turned into prime Rondo,I was hoping to use his contract as an exp k in a trade to go with DG/McGee/Bradley/Cook. Nearly 30M in exp k.

Yes probably pay him more as his reward and let him sit to assess and observe more in the regular season. That will pay dividends when it matters. He’s a good piece to a puzzle for that Big Picture.

He'll be 35. Would love him on his prorated minimum deal, but if we have to spend part of the full MLE then it's problematic.

Yeah, it makes sense to have Rondo play the coaching role during the regular season while unleashing him in the playoffs.

Salary that no one would want. Hopefully Rondo opts out and goes somewhere else.

What kind of salary are you referring too. If it’s the whole MLE, I agree but if it’s the bi annual then hes worth it. A guy like regular season Rondo is a dime in a dozen but Playoff Rondo is one of a kind.

Rondo's at the age where I could see him staying (opting in) and trying to win another chip.

He's opting in, for sure. I doubt anyone in this league would sign him for more than $2.6M.

Opt in. Get inroads to being on the coaching staff. The Lakers clearly like him so maybe he can find a long term home here.

Try telling me that in 2008 when the Celts whooped us with Rondo and company.
