Harden and Westbrook can’t beat Lebron going back to the OKC. V Miami Finals.

Compare Westbrook to CP3 in this stage in their careers and their effectiveness doing what they did for OKC.

I really really wish that there amnesty would make a come back so OKC could let CP3 go and the Lakers could sign him.

The Lakers biggest challenge is next, but if Denver somehow pulls off the comeback on the Clippers the Lakers have a guaranteed trip to the Finals.

In other news, I wonder who Harden is going to blame this time. Probably D'Antoni. He blamed not having enough, then he blamed Dwight, then he blamed CP3, wonder if he'll blame Westbrook and D'Antoni next.

Do we want that series going 7 and longer rest (possibly “getting rusty”?) or just have that done with tommorow so we start sooner?

Decisions, decisions

If the series going 7 means that Denver knocks out the Clippers, than yes.

That said, if that team had stayed together, they probably would have the next season. But that didn't happen. Even still, Durant was never winning a Championship with just Westbrook, and neither is Harden.

And now we get to the Main Event, as soon as the Clippers finish off the Nuggets.

The main event if the Nuggets hopefully knock off the Clippers, could be a potential Lakers vs Celtics finals.

Reaction!!

GS small ball was team orientated defense and a mid range game. They were near the top in defense most years. If you're going to play small ball you need both of those elements, defense, and a mid range game.

Not to mention GSW have all the ingredients to pull off a big trade in the off-season meaning they'll be competing for at least another 3 years

So glad to see Houston small ball eliminated.

And an additional big (bleep) you for tanking thinking the Lakers would be easier than the Clippers. That team and their delusional fanbase deserve the gentleman’s sweep.

I know we lost a few NBA finals but have we ever lost a western conference finals series?

1986 WCF against the Rockets.

I suspect they have way too much shooting to justify playing someone who is kind of one dimensional.

Rockets panicked and traded away Chris Paul when they should have given the Harden and CP3 experiment another chance, very bad move on there part and it will likely cost Harden a championship ring.

It may have been a good thing we lost there. Chances are we would have lost in the Finals. That Celtics team would have been very hard to beat without home court advantage and them coming off a year just losing to us.

Honestly I think they shot themselves in the foot when they decided to avoid too much luxury tax and did not re-sign Ariza (and I think there was someone else as well, forgot who) after they lost in the WCF to GS. He fit in quite well with what they were trying to do.

CP3 deal was just the icing on the cake. I will admit I figured the Harden / Westbrook team up would be a complete disaster for the Rockets; it was not. But, at least I got to see them become one against the Lakers.

Rockets have a history of getting rid of good players, not surprising.

Yep, and I'm hoping they start a tear down, maybe PJ Tucker or Covington become available >
